I love the idea of the gamemode, and ARB badly needed this. I expect some growing pains… like the bugs lag server issues etc. But not the unforced and extremely obvious errors resulting in the 40:1 que ratio.
That is not “oops, we didnt’ see that coming” its painfully obvious this would happen.
I think it may be best with the amount of top tier Russia and USA flying around to have it stuck for everyone a pre loaded line up or to allow other nations in. AKA Japan UK etc under USA or something

I get thrown into games that have already progressed, so when I can fly a nuke, the game ends before I reach the target airfield. This has now happened several times. Just boring.
I’d like to be there at the start.
If you actually had the mental fortitude to do it you could disable the “Join in already started matches” option
Still doesnt matter how good the Mig-29 is if all you have are loaner vehicles, which is the Mig-23MLD. Not everyone has full air trees. F-14/15/16/18 vs Mig-23 is rough, not even accounting for the Iranian F-14 players that have come out of the woodworks to club in this event.
I would expect using the loaner F-4E against Mig-29s is just as rough. If the event was locked to the loaner vehicles only, it would keep the teams balanced on even playing fields and we wouldnt have situations like this.

They should allow the use of the first version of the Su-27, since the F-15A is allowed…

100%, alot have argued for east vs west matchmaking for years. This would be a perfect chance to try it out, and probably alleviate some of the que nightmares if they allowed the Su-27 13.0s in as well, sans Fox3s.
It’s not balanced at all, that’s not what i’m saying. Normal BR compression but with this kind of gamemode is great. CAS and Bombers will no longer be deadweights and you can do all the pvp you want on top of that.
That option doesn’t work for the event. I’ve had this option set for years and after joining an event 3/4 of the way through I had to double check. This event will chuck you straight into an ongoing battle disregarding the setting.

On paper it has a range up to 350km and an average engagement range of 150-200km… on a 200km map.

saw this, was hyped and touched the game again after 3 months.
grinded my first token with usa and thought this isn’t too bad turns out after playing russia i got a headache and wanted to shoot myself in the head.
I don’t own any planes for any of those sides and used the stock one and while the mig23 seems superior (from all those stockplanes) it really isn’t with the right playstyle with the F4 (staying low and trying to get people that arent aware). It’s normal to die in this gamemode but the headache with russia is the fact that F14,F15 and F18 are allowed in this gamemode leaving no fun playing USSR (especially using stock planes) because it’s just american missile spam leaving no room for anything but dying.
Many don’t like how the SPAAs just missile you out from nothing and shooting at you through hills (or atleast trying it) but tbh it wasn’t that big of a problem by just staying low at the ground. While it definitely isn’t that fun its avoidable in contrast to the constant missile spams.
Only giving the option to use the designated planes for both nations would make this playable for USSR.
