yes the f14 radar is front aspect only so not only is it impossible to lock something flying away its also insanely easy to notch (just notch higher than 90 degrees)

I did the stars without using any fighters, just go to the laterals airfield and bomb ground targets, it’s even fun with the difficulty of the aaa
I just love how the 99% of the people that say they are enjoying the event is because they have the F-14/15/16/18 and they are just getting 70k-80k rp and 500k sl because they are doing a total abuse

This event honestly sucks and it’s insane how biased this is towards russia.
You have the starting aircraft where It’s the Mig-23 vs the F-4. So instantly the Radar missiles the F-4 gets are completely moot. Not even the pseudo doppler for the F-4.
And russia is able to carry on with a super sonic nuke dropper and you can’t catch it unless someone brings in an F-15 or otherwise to strike it with IRCCM missiles. This is nuts.
Tbh i dont have problems with the AAA’s i have problems with the 4th gen planes as i said, i just killed 2 f-18 one time because they ran into me and i launched the mini nuke of the mig23

Hi, I’m the 1%. I fly the F-4 and Su-24 on the sides and drop nukes on AA clusters. Still getting 30k RP and 200k SL. Not much use since I do have both trees ground out anyway but it’s great fun that way too.

CCRP is actually viable, you can toss nukes from kilometers away
There were two reasonable options: first, to let everyone use any plane they wanted; second, to make everyone use predefined planes. But they chose to do what they wanted and now almost no one does like this event because yeh, u have great rewards but u gotta suffer a lot from the abuse of 4th gen planes lol.
