Give players a chance to have fun? No way!
they are trying to pressure me into buying it with ge
My perspective on the mode is that the short-range SAMs seem to be the biggest point of friction and one of the larger issues with the mode, though not necessarily because they’re lethal. Rather, the issue is a combination of the Osa being significantly stronger than the Roland, primarily because of its greater range (both will fire at their max range, which is 10.3km for the Osa and 8km for the Roland 3), and the somewhat comical effectiveness of the short-range SAMs at destroying incoming munitions. Dumb munitions don’t get targeted, but lack accuracy at the range required and some types (S-5 and S-8 rockets most notably) self-destruct too early if fired from standoff range. With guided munitions, the primary issue is not that the SAMs can shoot down weapons, but how many simultaneous weapons it takes to reach them. Currently it takes 3-4 weapons to destroy a single SAM, depending on their speed.
Things I believe might help:
-Change Roland and Osa to stop tracking and firing on targets further than 8km. This would be primarily to remove the range advantage the Osa has over the roland, as well as moving standoff range a bit closer for it.
-If not already the case, limit the range Roland and Osa target munitions to 5km, reducing how long they have to stop incoming ordnance.
-Add or increase the time between a SAM’s missile exploding and the next missile being fired.
-SAMs in convoys should either not fire or should be replaced by shorter-ranged systems such as Stinger/Igla or gun SPAA.
-I’d also consider reducing the number of SAMs at any given frontline position to 1 - this wouldn’t actually change their lethality or ability to defend against munitions, since they just target whatever is closest and so in most cases one of the missiles is simply wasted.
The southeast BUK position also targets and fires (accurately) on aircraft it cannot possibly have line of sight to (and giving no RWR warning at all when it does so), but I believe that is likely a bug. Either way, it does need to be fixed.
Personally I’d also like to see the entire map used instead of just the center area. Extend the front line into the NW mountains, even if it has to be made a bit less deep to allow for it. Add a few more SAM sites to cover the extra area. Throw in some naval fleets in the SE water. The idea being a combination of more variety, on top of making it so that you can’t just go around the AA to engage backline targets and airfields. That’s mostly personal opinion / taste though, and perhaps outside the scope of the event version of the mode.
The new changes are dog water, the only thing gaijin has ensured is to give their players sadness and more depression than Russian tanks. I’ve been forced to GE my way for task 5 as of now
On the usa side is only good if you have or the F-4J or the F-4S(P2W on the event)
OK - please explain how you do SEAD then - I’m genuinely curious!
My experience was the HARM missiles lock something in the background and get shot on the way.
Using AGM-65 is crap because of vegetation hiding targets.
And since the last update you have plenty of OSAs sitting by themselves, not worth spending a nuke, but they’ll get you anyway.
Score gains for SPAA kills needs to be more than doubled, currently about 100 per, needs to be more like 200-250 per to actually be worth doing
I play for a max of 2 hours a day and am able to get 7700 points? This may not be an issue having to do with changes, but simply awareness in the gamemode.
My key take away, to improve the mode for the PVE part, please add, some if you can think of more improvements
my take away if gaijin wants people really need to PTO, the will need to do the following
-
killing the Ai reward you even better like 2000 for SAM (cause if you don’t take them out, you won’t have air superiority to destroy the other ground vehicles) , 1800 SL for the the tanks, 2500 for the depot’s and convoys transporter vehicles or logistic vehicle should give you 1000 SL.
-
Destroying these Will give you higher score for example killing SAM, score 150 (it is currently 51) , destroying AD sites like for example Patriot early warning radar the TPS/59 and the AD base in general should give you a score of 500 and AF should give you score of 750.
-
They should make the reaction time of ai SAM have higher delay 1.30 minutes, which it will need to turn on it radar for that amount of time, if you stay longer than the duration of time in the SAM range, the higher you chance of getting killed becomes
Exactly!
Oh, 5th star: now the grind is horrible, but you can buy it if you like!
Just another gairjoib greedy tactics !
Wait wait wait wait.
You crazy?
What if bring about 90% of the bombers down? much better doesn’t it?
its like as the event progresses, the worse it gets. nerfs and buffs will ruin it, to the point nobody really wants to play it anymore
try this
Exactly!
You forgot: to the point people will consider buying their last star.
Probably a ton of people bougth the F-4S for farm the event and farm SL
How much time does it take you to get 7700 mission points?
Getting air kills + opportunistic ground targets + nukes took me 2 hours today, and I was first on the US side twice.
I can’t imagine average players going faster than that.
No it isn’t.
SEAD is borderline impossible in the mode.
The reason t was all head on pvp engagements is EVERYTHING else was almost entirely unviable.
Took me two matches to get the star, I’d say one and a half hours? maybe two? I don’t know exactly unfortunately
I got the ruski one on 2 matches only bombing and killing like 5 or 6 planes per match also being bullied by undogeable F-4S/J missiles because flares don’t affect them
Also use normal bombs is imposible you will get sniped and your bombs will explode
It’s not impossible at all
