I was quite mean against the event initially because I was disappointed it’s not EW testing, and people didn’t like the SL loss.
However, after playing a couple matches, I’d say this is one of the best events we had to date, simply because it’s a new air gamemode. If this makes it into ARB as the default gameplay scenario, War Thunder may finally start cooking again.
That being said, I’ve encountered a ton of bugs, I do not have several trained crews so that makes it difficult to play properly, and I smell some imbalance in the fact that F-15 can be used but not the Su-27?? Nonetheless it’s great fun if you think of it as “the way ARB is going to look going forward”. I pray that happens rather than simply turning this into some event mode that we see once in a while.

This event fucking sucks, completely unbalanced. US has OP planes while USSR is stuck with fulcrums and no flankers, lol.

I’ve “played” a couple matches now. If you don’t play high-tier air (which is most people), there’s nothing you can do, since there’s no way to test the missiles, and you have to figure it out in the match. The few people who do play high-tier air will absolutely stomp everyone else. I always have high hopes for April Fools, but this is a real disappointment.

How are you supposed to nuke in Tu-95M when a patriot is fucking 10s away from shooting you down every single time you spawn in?? 99% sure it cant be chaffed either and there is no “ECM”
Being forced to join ongoin games drastically reduces the mission points one can earn. Iam wasting 10-20 minutes in battle just to have a teammate nuke the enemy main base.
joining already active battles option is disabled, too

i know man, im having similar issues and its frustrating, i was giving a sarcastic remark, i would say try put chaff between you and missile, not much you can do, try blowing them (sam site) up with tv guided missile (dont use the new arh stuff on preset vehicles, its quite icky) its kinda a mess brother :///
I’ve been farming with the Mig-29. there is no “US bias” in this mode

The SPAA keep their radar off until you enter their no escape zone and they take out any missile in the sky.
