I like SU-24 runs. The huge amount of fuel makes it possible to go for a big flanking run around the hot zones to headshot that central frontline spawn base. Its quite consistent, cause with that amount of fuel you can simply dodge the SPAA clusters and enemy player presence. Then you approach their forward AF from behind or side…drop the 30kt nuke and match is almost pre-decided. Always very rewarding…like 1000 for the AF/NPCs + all those jets which are close. You can’t do it in a Phantom and 20mins fuel (and without MAW, which is life saving). I managed to get top scores with Su-24…several times. Very good jet. Similar to Tornado, imho.
Mig-23 …imho it feels worse now. I remember during the first two or three stars I had alot more success using MTI. Now you permanently lose lock, lock empty space and the lock box doesn’t seem to match with the target jet…which makes your R-24R miss. R-60M still very op when fired close range…doesn’t seem to go after flares the first few 100 meters. When you time it right its the king of headon kills.
Allied side currently sufferes F-4S and J players. They use PD and 7F to masskill Migs. You barely get something left to grind in your F-4E. These two badly need to get banned from gamemode. Its not healthy when these player rack up multi-dozen kills that easily. Not for the US team and not for the russian side, ofc.
NPC SPAAs are too op in general. With OSA/BUK beeing the worst contenders. I started to hate the mode cause of this and I’m glad when its over tomorrow.
oh yeah, instead of F-4E I think F-4J would be more reasonable to have. Also give the F-111F instead of the A-7E, it would be more equal to the Su-24.
Also, could we may get air detonation for the nukes? In most cases, they will be detonated above the ground to get more damage and as a nice sideeffect: less radiation on the ground. I think, this would be a nice detail overall.
I’m way to used to carrying the 2000lb bombs on the A10 to kill players chasing me so this is second nature. Also prem A10 makes crazy money so it’s a big win even if I have the entire US air tree bought lol
Both you and your buddy after your post missed the point. I spawned on the furthest airfield and applied the exact strategy i mentioned in my post, which you would’ve seen if you actually read what i said. My point was that one team gets to spawn camp without any consequence and the other gets atomized the second they step on enemy air SPACE, not even airfield, AIR SPACE. And that the event is just fancy one-sided Air RB. Next time, read carefuly.
