You need to add rule to not connect new players to the game, where are last 2 or 3 airfields (including main one) because there is amlost no chance do do good amount of points. Im instantly leaving those games. Also it would be nice if the setting “not to connect to ongoing battles” do work in this event.
My feedback:
- Been waiting for something like this for pretty much a decade since the last Air RB EC test, and overall love the large scale, ability to respawn, as well as switch missions within one game
- Hoping this can extend down to lower BRs as well
Some improvements I could see to the gameplay:
- Could use some AI aircraft to spread out further the play area, e.g. like on the higher tier large maps where AI formations are appearing and going after some areas (though need to fix their FM, they are currently going wayyyyyy too fast)
- This isn’t totally specific to this mode, but in this mode it would be needed even more than normal RB: Have higher rewards for aircraft going after targets specific to their roles, i.e. attackers going after ground targets, interceptors after bombers, fighters after fighters, bombers after strategic targets, etc. initially could just be per main role, and later have some step increase for multirole vehicles. This would increase the incentive for players to take out other types of aircraft and esp. in this mode, with AAA being too OP (largest criticism of this test), there needs to be players going after those and need to be rewarded for clearing the ground.
- Need to consider some ways (tricky without voice chat) to improve team play though it does appear to be a bit better than in normal RB
- Main base destruction should be a massive blow, though maybe not cause ticket bleed to the end. I mean if it is destroyed it should cause no more resupply and if it is the last one destroyed it would mean that players wouldn’t be able to respawn anyway, so it is already some sort of death sentence anyway, but at least players would have a little tiny chance left to cause some damage still but need to conserve fuel and ammo.
- Add carriers and ships to have some naval element and to also be able to play over the water as well as be able to play anti-shipping missions
- This is an issue in sim and here too, the first spawn shouldn’t cost any SL, as well as switching aircraft or at least ammo if being able to return the aircraft to the base (or at least not full price)
As I said, no, it doesn’t record any stats on your account from playing this event.
I get permanently killed by BUK and S300 now, despite flying low. Was this buffed? Almost every loss cause of NPC AA.
This mode is not fun anymore. NPC AA gets stronger and stronger.
Because it’s fast…? Why would you not want to strike and quickly scoot out of the area to avoid AD?
F4J and F4S should be moved to the upper bracket they’re just too OP against russian planes
its so totally fun basically being roflstomped 10mins in with no counterplay agains them :D
several matches in a row F4S or F15s dominated and i barely got anything done because match was over in like 20mins, guess they had to give the crying US mains a huge edge again, how dare they dont dominate something smh
Anyone else get the magical Buk launcher that can fire from behind a hillside and down the other side along the coast? The thing blind fires at you when you take a route that is 100% of the time not within its radar coverage. Only way to avoid it is to fly 15 meters off the top of the beach.
Yes just me. I was flying below a cliff and Buk shot me down. I was like very low. Impossible to detect. Just makes no fun to play US anymore. OSA still unnerfed and BUK now super toxic.
While russians have no issue to break through to the airfields. Hawk, Rolands seem to be less effective. Patriot kills very rare.
The Tu-95 really getting the short end of the stick in the event lol
The flares dropping so far away makes it extremely vulnerable to AIM-9Ls and the F-4J and F-4S can easily lock it with their PD radars
Meanwhile the B-52 can’t be locked by the MiG-23s and MiG-25s radar and it’s flares can easily deal with R-60s, R-24s and R-40s
So no Larping in the forums?
It does not help that the Tu-95’s engines are literally a blowtorch to ir seekers.
