Oh yeah, I noticed how easily the red side gets past all the SPAA barriers and flies over enemy airports.

Man, please fix those Osa systems, for the love of God ! I can’t take it anymore… Those things hit you even when you’re hugging the ground, almost crashing your jet into the terrain, and flares don’t work against them. It’s absurd.

Old feels like it’s cheating if the other guy is good at tracking you, while new is kinda pathetic outside of optimal range (around 50% of max). And yeah, the reason why it feels like the SA-8 is impossible to dodge kinematically is because it kinda is. Old ATGM flight model was (and still is) basically a guaranteed hit as long as you kept the crosshair on the target, and guess what radar screen is really really good at? With things as they are if one pops up nearby at less than 7km you are guaranteed to die if you do not immediately run away from the launch to bleed the missile of energy.

I really would like for them to also increase the time it takes for the SA-8 to reload six missiles. Player versions of that system take a fair amount of time to reload after all weapons are expended, so the AI should too.

Additionally, making the respawn timer for SHORAD systems such as Gepard, ZSU-23-4, Roland and SA-8 something like 2 or 3 minutes rather than ~20 seconds is really needed.

It’s not as if they’re uncounterable but they are very frustrating to fight against. There is so much going on that even a minor lapse in judgement/loss of focus turns into a death instantly.

As an aside, has anyone here managed to kill a “Nebo” radar with guns? I tried it recently and it just shrugged it off like nothing. I know there’s nothing explosive inside that thing or any people in it, but pulverizing the base+internal electronics with 20mm fire should take it out fairly quickly.

Edit: have tried to strafe the US counterpart radar to “Nebo” and it also doesn’t die to gunfire (23mm). This probably should change, riddling these big radars with holes will total them IRL, especially without people nearby to go and attempt fixing them.

There’s nowhere to run and nothing you can really do against an Osa or Gepard and even when you do everything perfectly, it still hits you with what feels like 100% accuracy.

I want a nerf to this thing in this game mode. It’s not fair, it honestly feels easier to dodge flak than an Osa, and I don’t even know why. It’s just way more manageable. I’m not asking for anything crazy here, it’s not like I’m asking to have the Yamato added as a playable unit off the coast of the map…

I just want something SIMPLE.

Flak doesn’t announce so it has its difficulties

Su-24 and MiG-23 can fly there without any problems.

F-4J/S certainly do not have 370km range radar… it farts out around 90… and lock range doesn’t say much, you won’t use AIM-7F even at 30km in that event, you can shoot around 20-22km if you are high enough and inrecept someone that tries to bomb though.
The biggest advantage is PD radar with HMS at 19km , you don’t really need more range . And 6 AIM-7F.
It’s not like you’ll go dogfight over all those SAMs and bigger ranges you’d probably shoot empty shots because either someone closer will take the kill before the missile connects or you get KSed by SAMs (imagine it happened i had a very good dogfight and as i was to pull the trigger to end it Flakwhatever remembered to help me not get the kill, the whole fight it was playing solitaire until i got the enemy on sights).

And i thought it was me , but 4Js AWG-10 in the game is better than AWG-9…AWG-10 sometimes doesn’t give a f about notch , and whatever it shows that it is. AWG 9 , i just fight the radar half the time.

Yes, to be fair i loved MiG 23 with nuke…you just can’t touch the thing. Look how weird the scenery is… when F-4J/S gets praised for A-A and MiG 23 for A-G!

well this is getting close to not worth it for me with how un-fun it is. the ability to respawn is kinda good, but i think i’d like it more if this just wasnt at a tier with missiles

The issue isn’t getting there, the issue is your nukes won’t be as useful because you’re supposed to hit the main airfield with the 1.5MT nuke

Gonna rant slightly, and its probably already been talked about but eh. Why tf is there no bloody Defense for the Giant bombers that cost 2500!!!

Like i get there in enemy territory, and their entire nature is to be a sitting duck or bring hellfire. But the amount of times i’ve been shot down by Timmy no life going back and forth between both spawns the ENTIRE F"kN game!!! Like ffs either give the Bombers some better ECM or at least an A.i. Escort so they arn’t like the rest of the bombers in this game that break apart from a sneeze

Alright i’ve had enough. What in the hell got changed day 2, and why hasnt it been changed back already. Don’t try and tell my nothing changed, I KNOW FOR A FACT SOMETHING DID. if anything, i’m the controll variable, 0 experience with jets. day one i can evade missiles some, countermeasures work, terrain works, gbus reach out as far as they say they can. i manage to get the star in 3-4-5 battles. Now, ever since day 2, about the time they remove the iranian f-14, suddenly the osa’s are terminators, i cant shake practically any missile via evasive maneuvers, turning, flare, chaff, even going behind a mountain doesnt work, somehow i continue to be tracked and the missile makes it through trees and even ground sometimes. nothing hits, even when i sling 6 missiles at the same isolated AA. now im lucky to get a single ground kill in 3 deaths. idc what changed, idc why it got changed. it needs to be fixed. im sick of everything american being nerfed incessantly in the game in generall, but this is just too egregious, and im not the only one who has a problem with it. you know it’s bad when the first time i actually feel the need to discuss something on the forum it’s something like this.

they were from day 1 lol. YOu just got killed with jets before reaching OSAs xD

My concern now is with the US side getting worse bomber and worse jet. F-4 is great plane but it having radar that cant lock a plane is ridiculous, thus the USSR with the MiG-23 is just bettah with its two R-24Rs. And SU-24 is just bettah bomber than A-7. Well at least US doesnt fight against miG-29s at lower BR lineup, so its manageable.

Su25t alone is better in every way than all blufor subsonic options

well i didnt touch Su-25T as there was MiG-23MLD. But even if Dogfights are great missiles, the radar at free given F-4 is SO bad its just unbearable. You launch them sparrows on a lucky day, and maybe get a kill if the target wont dive to the ground level.
