I beg to disagree here, Vulcan is the most iconic considering it was used in Operation sky shield to simulate USSR attacks and assure NORAD defence systems, literally simulated no losses and was never detected by NORAD defence systems due to new jamming tech, if you know of the B52s, you sure as hell know of the Vulcans

You know I was thinking that the OSA being able to

  • Shoot while moving at full speed
  • Instantly knowing where you are without using its search radar even through terrain
  • Being impossible to target with HARMs (the focus of this entire event) because of the previous reason
  • Instantly knowing which AGM-65 is targeting them and shooting them down with perfect accuracy
  • Having infinite ammo
  • Instantly relaunching missiles the second it doesn’t kill you
  • Hitting you with a SACLOS missile with an entire forest blocking its sight

was actually too easy to fight against because you could still hug the ground and maybe hope to hit it with your guns before it would kill you anyways.

I’m really glad Gaijin buffed the SAM AI so that now even that is impossible and the singular counterplay against them is to lob nukes from 20km away. I’m hoping in the next update Gaijin allows the AI to target the nukes with their missiles as well because clearly being able to kill the OSA is a bug or something.

Seriously though. Somehow Gaijin does the impossible and manages to ruin something so positive by making it impossible to even do anything that makes this event fun.

This is due to the AI using a simplified version of the vehicle as bvvd said yesterday, new AI is something they are working on along with the number of AI entities on one map at any given time

So far I’ve only managed to get one A2A kill with the AGM-88A. I’m not sure what is keeping it from being even better. Is it the seeker, energy, or maneuverability of the missile that is lacking?

Turn off spaa being able to fire as they move. It’s stupid and unrealistic

well the AGM-88 tracks radars and you got to be on top of the enemy plane to hit with the AGM-88

Just dropped a nuke, try to watch it in the replay but the replay doesn’t work. Would be nice if they made a replay system that worked for matches over 30 minutes. And I can’t look at it through a server replay since those don’t show any replays for the event since the 1st.

Yeah, no one cares. Yes, all the stuff does things because of reasons, and it’s so gosh darn hard.
Click the button to remove them and replace them with less potent SPAA until all that gosh darn hard work is done. Or don’t, and watch interest crater because this has turned into ARB with an extra step. Complete with no lifes and console players spending the entire match hunting the1-2 cas players and bombers, then coming on here to brag about it.

It’s a shame I’ve already completed the US TT, this mode is great for researching with a good premium. Hell of an SL printer too.

If you could tell me where I would find them I could try if I still will find them. Was in a queue yesterday für 1h50min without a match after I aborted it :D

Only if the F-15 goes past the merge and role plays as a lawn mower, because the second it pulls up he is dead, and even then you have R-73.

What I also really like in this mode is, that the teams aren’t so random. Currently there is only RU and US. Maybe if this mode will be finished and a standart gameplaymode, We could get something similar with kinda historic brackets and only specific nations per side.

So something like a european warfare, where the european Nations fight together. The strategic bomber could then be the Avro Vulcan (due to GB beeing the only nation wich ever had strategic bombers on NATO side in europe) fighting against russia. Maybe splitted into several regions like southern europe with italy, GB and france, central europe with germany, GB and france, northern europe with sweden and GB.

Pacific warfare with US, Japan Russia and China.

Middle East with Russia, US and Israel.

I also could imagine something like Army bases, wich could function as helicopter bases and from where your ground units (including infantry maybe) could start to the front and over there fight for the front line. So basically something comparable like frontline mode in ARB. Would be an interesting concept, if you maybe could not just destroy those bases but maybe also your AI ground units could reach them and capture them, so you could get a start from there with a helicopter, while troops from the main base will always try to capture them back.

Weird bug, can’t change spawns on the Su-24M and the base is destroyed, meaning the plane + the mid sized nuke can’t be used at all
Clicking other fields on the map doesn’t do anything, the drop down menu only shows the broken one and nothing else

Anyone knows a fix?
