What I also really like in this mode is, that the teams aren’t so random. Currently there is only RU and US. Maybe if this mode will be finished and a standart gameplaymode, We could get something similar with kinda historic brackets and only specific nations per side.
So something like a european warfare, where the european Nations fight together. The strategic bomber could then be the Avro Vulcan (due to GB beeing the only nation wich ever had strategic bombers on NATO side in europe) fighting against russia. Maybe splitted into several regions like southern europe with italy, GB and france, central europe with germany, GB and france, northern europe with sweden and GB.
Pacific warfare with US, Japan Russia and China.
Middle East with Russia, US and Israel.
I also could imagine something like Army bases, wich could function as helicopter bases and from where your ground units (including infantry maybe) could start to the front and over there fight for the front line. So basically something comparable like frontline mode in ARB. Would be an interesting concept, if you maybe could not just destroy those bases but maybe also your AI ground units could reach them and capture them, so you could get a start from there with a helicopter, while troops from the main base will always try to capture them back.
Weird bug, can’t change spawns on the Su-24M and the base is destroyed, meaning the plane + the mid sized nuke can’t be used at all
Clicking other fields on the map doesn’t do anything, the drop down menu only shows the broken one and nothing else
yeah. honestly seeing such a plane (cas/ground pound) be acknowledged is sucha sight to see but if it doesnt get any ARM’s it will probably never leave the “just a random strike aircraft” role like so many others
One major issue I wanna point out that makes the battlespace feel a lot less dynamic is the fact that AI respawn rates seem much too high.
If I take out a few frontline AA systems like OSA/Roland, they tend to be back within 1-2 sortie, so you dont feel like you’re really doing any work when you strike them because any breach you make in the GBAD network is patched by the time you return to try to expand said breach.
Same goes for depots, they seem to respawn by the time you’re back for your next sortie, so the game feels a lot less dynamic because the frontline does not move, and you just strike the same target in the same location over and over again.
Some targets do feel a lot more impactful/dynamic though. Medium range SAM’s like Buk/Hawk batteries seem to take longer to respawn and taking them out reduces GBAD pressure in the area. Taking out airfields also reduces quantity and frequency of players on a flank.
Increasing AI target respawn time, and explaining to players or making it more obvious in battle what the destruction of various target types actually does to the battle beyond just an arbitrary amount of “tickets” would be good.
Honestly, getting rid of tickets entirely and having the match win conditions being solely based on the situation on the battlefield would be a lot better imo. Could make it so that once all forward and intermediate airbases are destroyed, the main airfield becomes a complex target such as seen in “Deep Strike” event, instead of giving it a health bar like it currently has.
got locked out of my f-4e yesterday as well, it happened to me well after I had taken off, then landed at a different airfield to take off again, then once I was up, the second airfield was nuked, rendering my f-4e unavailable for the remainder of the match.
mig-25 can actually fling radar missiles at low alt, by tilting it’s radar downwards and flying at low altitude, the mig-25 radar will adapt by going into SRC MTI and remove all ground clutter and be able to lock aircraft like nothing, (you will lose the ability to move your radar and engagement range will fall under 10km due to high drag and radar’s angle, but an flinged R-40RD is a killing blow 90% of the time since it is pretty resistant to chaff.
It can only ruin the days of any aircraft BUT the stratofortress due to intense ECM, practically infinite supply of CM and the fact that the mig-25 can only carry missiles
It put me into a game that was already started for about 20-25 minutes and I was the one who managed to drop the bomb with the Tu-95.
Russia side is playing in easy mode.
To be honest, if 13.0 Flankers were available it’d be even more lopsided at the higher matchmaker than it already is.
