yep, not a lie. Though outrolling in ARB should only be done if either you know exactly who you’re facing or as a last resort if you can’t notch in time.
Personally, I’m more of a fan of the base Skyflash considering the planes that can sling them. Sure, it’s more like a 7E-2, but at least the missile is far more predictable on behavior than the entire sparrow series.
I wouldn’t recommend the planes with Supertemps, though… honestly the Tornado F.3 (12.0) is kind of a chore to spade, and even then, it’s not really a game dictator by its own terms.
And that’s the best of the two available jets to play with Supertemps.
imo the only way i can see the 12.0+ bracket populated is with flankers but anything that isnt gimping wouldnt be balanced. su27 and su33 are currently balanced by being hella compressed in arb
I just wanted to say here that I love the new event! It definitely needs some tweaks, such as increasing the rewards for hitting Ammo Dumps, Fuel storage, and vehicle depots, and we all agree that some ECM to aid in the accuracy of SEAD munitions would help the intercept rates. Also, because shooting down planes gives so much points, it is incentivizing players to resort to dogfighting to maximize point profit instead of having fun playing other missions like SEAD and tactical bombing. There should be a slight rebalancing in order to disincentivize focusing solely on dogfighting. Coming from a player who wants to fly the attack mission, but recognizes that it is currently not as rewarding or “satisfying” as the dogfight, and thus requires some equal incentive to encourage variety in aircraft.
Edit: Fixing typos.
Also, the red-herring that is the big nuke encourages players to min-max for points, encouraging dogfighting in the current rewards structure of the event.
@Stona_WT We have a serious problem with the takeoff run. The current runway isn’t long enough to allow the B-52H the run it needs to take off safely without hitting the trees.
This will be (already is) a problem for those playing in simulation mode. My suggestion is to start the takeoff run at 200 meters or to increase the length of the takeoff runways.
