Guess to add, i’ve gotten into games pretty fast as the usa by spamming the play/unplay button

It reminds me a lot of the F-14. Also, one match I had 12 kills with it, and the next one they were killing me because they were flying low, where the F-14 has a problem.

As the limitation keeping maps to 128x128 is evidently resolved, is this new 256x256 map sitting at a new limit, or is there space for expansion? Can we expect even larger maps in future?

to be fair they should add the A-10C cause the 9Ms are BUSTED

Good to hear. AI SPAA is too accurate when it comes to intercepting munitions; it’d be awesome if they actually used their sensors. OSA search radar can’t even see 10° above the horizon.

Additionally, just as a general comment (and i’m curious to hear other peoples’ views on this!):

Currently, the positions of airbases and ground assets use only 60-70% of the map - the ocean is completely unused by lack of carriers, and the northwest section of the map, containing a huge mountain range and then a plateau, also sits unused. Additionally the airbases are pretty far from the edges of the map. I have a feeling the mode may be better if carriers were added and the scale were expanded to include the entire map.

Depends, in the 10.3 - 11.7 bracket - maybe. But they are nowhere near as good as they were, suspension track is broken atp. imo. Not even mentioning the awful airframe of the A10.

There’s a new weapon in the game: anti-radiation missiles (ARM)

So they’re probably gonna add ARMs to the main game some update later… Mind you, this is after they’ve added the new pantsir, an spaa capable of intercepting every guided munition thrown at it thanks to it’s 48 missile capacity.
I’m calling it now: as usual, the ussr is going to be the only nation in the game with a counter to these things.
Also can’t wait for ARMs to also nerf every other spaa with limited ammo, forcing them to turn of radar and therefore further enabling kh38 and lmur spam.
This is exactly what’s going to happen.

Nah, it’s fine really. The only OP thing I’ve seen isn’t even the 12.7 radar guided missiles on both sides is the 9Ms doing a literal 180 turn while you chaff and flare but nothing happens

Redfor ARMs are mediocre at best. I wouldn’t expect such a thing.

It would be nice if this matchmaking didn’t push me into half baked or almost done battles in RUS team…
Yes queue is quick, but so what! I can wait 1 minute to at least get into a proper match, especially that RUS side is outnumbered in the queue anyway. Why the option to skip already started battles doesn’t apply here… jeeez!

There’s is some issues afaik with how the seekers preform, being able to lock things they shouldn’t.

In what way? I’ve had no such issue but i’ve also only used ARMs 5 or so times.

IMO we shouldn’t even think of ARMs as a GRB addition. I think they are aming higher with modes similiar to this one, modern, layered air defenses, multiple objectives, without nukes of course.

It’s not in game at the moment yet iirc but irl ARM’s are designed to target specific radar bands, for example

AGM-88A’s seeker covers E-J frequencies, however it’s capable of locking onto and targeting FlaRakPz-1’s search radar, which is a D band search radar…

It seems like according to datamines that ARMs will have specific targeting frequencies since 4 of the 5 Kh-58U variants were DM’d but only time shall tell for the time being.
