aim 9’ls will straight up not care about what you want to target… i got that multiple times today of locking a target that was a easy kill… it completely ignored the lock, fly straight and 40* off the bore, finds a friendly and kills it perfectly… no i wish i was lying… no need for flares or anything, the enemy is the missile

tho im not a fan of the TU95 having no RWR warnings from patriots
think if russia has the mld, america should have the f-14 back in… one is good in close combat, the other one gets people flying in a straight line at 25-30km… or picking off the mountain/ocean enthusiasts

minimum F4J MLD is worse than a F14A ive beaten F16As in dogfights with the A model tomcat

do it trust just use presets for russia 11.7 and then for america use F15A its pretty simple
Yeah the f14 is a surpriseingly good dogfighter with the variable sweep wings
talking about the one that gets the r27’s IRIAF f-14… they behave when you want them to spool online, and doesnt see a flower and explode.

F15 a is an excellent option for this event too
i have the displeasure to inform that i don’t actively suffer on this game anymore and i do other things, as the same issues i been complaining about yet to be addressed and reinforced with the most recent update(s)…
i have the displeasure of doing stock grinding on american jets as it is due to BR compression, i’m not interested in grinding another 380k~ rp for nothing burgers and wont be useful after the event.
I agree. Even though I do have planes for both sides to use in personal lineups, I’m most often using the built in planes. I have been playing RU exclusively now since I finished the first tasks. Both sides are different. Both have strengths and weaknesses.
The biggest issue I see is so many players who don’t know how to use CCRP. It’s not difficult to setup, it’s not difficult to use. Please watch this short video if don’t know how to use CCRP yet. It will make your time in this event (and in regular matches) SO much more enjoyable and profitable:
And if you have never used radar missiles it is absolutely worth the time to learn. You really only need to use ACM mode for radar, then start slinging missiles. (I very highly recommend watching all the way through the videos, but again, you really only need the keybind for ACM mode, and the keybind to fire the air to air missiles.)

Some infrared missiles can be “slaved” to a radar lock as well. Useful for IR missiles that are “all aspect” like the AIM-9L (the IR missiles that the default F-4E can carry). Again, will be easiest to use ACM mode to obtain radar lock and then fire the “all aspect” IR missile. This will usually increase the range that you can fire these missiles head on towards an enemy:

The event is great but que times make it impossible to play the US. Basically im just locked out of doing the event as the US.
I got the USSR done easily but im 25 minutes into queuing for the US and no luck yet.
Just make this a mixed matchmaker because this is unworkable.
