Whose idea was it who thought it was balanced to have the Mig-23 that is not only faster, more maneuverable, equipped with better missiles and be nuke capable. Then have the Su-24 as an attacker.
So if you’re on the defending against a Mig-23 with a F-4 phantom. You literally can’t do anything since he’s faster.
Meanwhile the U.S. only gets the F-4E with a terrible radar and horrible missiles, slower and less maneuverable than the Mig-23 (You literally had to give it the AIM-9L to not make it completely trash). while you have the superslow A-7 and A-6 supposed to strike at geeked out SAM systems that you literally have to be right in the face for the AGM-88s to actually do anything worth while.
Why not just lock it at 11.3 where it’s the Mig-21 vs F-4E and the Su-24’s counterpart is the F-111A as that realistically carried a nuke as well.
So far, this is unbalanced and you literally have to go up into the higher tier just so you can get some support from the F-15As and their AIM-9Ms. Without them, The U.S. team is at a massive disadvantage.
I wish this mode stays forever.

Yeah Ig, but still couldn’t they just limit the Su-27s loadout to only 4 R-27ERs or even just the R-27R?
The MiG-29 only beats the F-15 in BVR missle (which you only have 2 of and have to rely on a sketchy radar to use), other than that the F-15 is better at pretty much everything except maybe dogfight missles (but I prefer the 9Ms amazing flare resistance to the R-73s maneuverability, especially since like everything has MAWs it seems).
Mostly it was my mistake for neglecting the Yak-141 and the entire MiG line, if only it was entire East VS West instead of US vs USSR, maybe I could use my GDR MiGs.
My issues currently with the event:
Rendering distance is completely fucked, you’re trying to bomb ground targets and you see that it is scouted, but you can’t see a thing, even while using targeting camera of any kind to launch missiles or drop bombs.
Literally all AAs firing non stop without reloading, vehicles like FlaRakPz 1 or Osa-AK firing while on the move. Huh?
The lineups. USA being more viable with current lineups of F14s, 15 and 18s. Yeah, Mig 29s are available, but that’s it. It’s not as atrocious, but there’s no variability.
Overall: game mode is awesome, really a breath of fresh air, because current AIR RB, which hasn’t been changed since the game came out is getting stale. Community has been asking for a long time for EC mode and this could be it. I really hope devs consider making this mode permanent, if they outright refuse to do implement any changes to AIR RB

I stopped going after AA, but pretty sure when i started ‘FlaRakPz’ did reload and i have gotten it with a gun once it expended its 2 missiles and went to reload (animation was there), but yeah Snail be using OSA as they were planned not as how they were delivered.
Also Su25T is quite good as a fighter
Why you need variety when it works as good as basically any of the other planes you mentioned? Just play the fulcrum, it’s not as a chore as this forum whines about.
Russia has fairly better free strike planes than the US pool (Su-25T/Su-24 vs A-6/A-10), and no one is coping about it.
The only advantages the F-15 in this has over the Mig-29 is just sheer missile count (Mostly just for the AIM-9M) and airframe.
The SARHs on the Mig-29 are by and far better than the AIM-7Fs.
If you play the lower tier against the F-4E and Mig-23. It’s literally just a clobber stomp for russia all the time since they just have straight up better aircraft.

Can’t you take F4 with full bomb + missile loadout, seems to be more play wise balanced and gives you more stuff to do?
You can take every single pylon and the phantom’s radar would still be finnicky, that and its IR missiles are not really something out of the ordinary, the AIM-7E-2s are the saving grace of the F-4E.
I’d still pick a MiG-23MLD over the F-4E if I didn’t had both Russia and the US grinded.
Hard disagree. The AIM-54s are practically worthless missiles. If they were performing correctly. Sure. But in-game as it stands. They’re not. Even at High alts I was nearly keeping pace with my AIM-54A for a good 5-10 km with it barely overtaking me.
It’s still a good airframe.
The F-18 I’d argue is worse than the F-14 in the fact you bleed speed so quickly.
F-15 is the most meta because you get AIM-9Ms and with everyone multi-pathing. Having an IRCCM is much more important than smacking someone with a super slow AIM-7F that will just be multipathed.
I really wish they fix the queue system for the US teams because I too want to grind the B52, in my opinion they should put the F4E instead of the F4.
But people are just very scared to play as Russia (also Tu95 is kinda mid but whatever)
