It still gives quite the advantage in a direct 1v1 betwen the MLD and F-4E. Ive had more than a few times where I couldnt even get the F-4s radar in ACM to lock onto a Mig-23MLD flying above me, but I had to immediately start defending against an R-24R
Decided to double check it.
They actually fixed it. Only took half a century. MTI now doesn’t turn off looking down. Though even accounting that, it would be odd to run into a 23 with 24s instead of a 29.
Noone uses regular MLD tho and the loadout the nuke one have is scuffed,cause the wing pylons have R-60s instead of the 24Rs they could have.
It’s also an extremely exclusionary event. Many players who haven’t reached top tier yet are suddenly faced with a bunch of mechanics they don’t understand, mechanics they’re forced to learn the hard way if they want to earn the rewards. And to make matters worse, the reward isn’t even a top tier aircraft — it’s at 8.3 BR.

More feedback. Please randomize frontline player spawning in this mode, too many people spawn in the middle and some people don’t even seem to know they can change their spawn.

I mainly fly 4.0 aircraft (Bf 109 F-4, P-51C, etc) and in SB not RB and I do… fine.
Spam Mig-23MLD with full IR missile loadout or F4E with the 2 aim-9Ls.
You point nose at target while afterburning.
Press space when under like 7 km.
White Circle gets 2 red 2 circles.
Press space again.
Pull off side and spam flares.
Repeat until 250 spawn points.
Watch youtube tutorial on how to use CCRP (WT channel has one)
Grab 5 kt nuke.
Use CCRP (bomb toss) to blow up the enemy frontline.
Get star done in 2 hours WHILE learning how to use all this.
Literally this is the first time I use all aspect missiles and CCRP/CCIP and putting the controls in afresh from scratch. I suck at jets. I dislike missile based combat.

lucky? all you need to do with CCRP tossing is set a target mark, flank around every enemy target, pull up like 5km from the target and just return to base

Osa can and will intercept 90% of your munitions if they’re not busy hitting other allies so yes,he’s lucky
Enemies will mostly be aware so they’ll spam CMs, making missiles like 9Ls,R-60Ms,R-24Rs and 7Es easy to dodge,unless you have 9Ms and R73s you need to be lucky
Osa will track you even if you’re flying super low, making Nuke runs not so easy to do

Confirmed. F-4 radar hardly gets a lock even at high alt. I got one Sparrow kill with this Phantom in yesterdays session.
you know you can just fly around these OSAs right? they also cannot intercept bombs, for the CM spam part just use your guns, its really not that difficult to hit with them and spam CMs yourself

Nukes don’t get intercepted.
Also not even 5 km pull-out.
I usually pull up like 20km out and get stuff like this:
Luck is mostly that none of my teammates decided to attack the same spot or if they did, my nuke arrives first.

I wonder why the gun on the B-52 doesnt work.
a guy in my team got every single 1000lbs bomb intercepted by an Osa so no,they can and they will intercept those. then, “spam CMs”, if you use the F-4E your CMs will be depleted in 5 seconds if you spam those
The blast radius is also painted on the map, so even when you loft, everyone on your team can see where the nuke will be. If they are smart, that will give them A) time leave the area and B) not nuke the same spot

Playing previous events, I’d say Germany is the main pick for ground, instead of Russia.
