no, stuff like hellfire seeker is more resistant to weather than brimstone.
LOAL + MIL + IIR is not the same as LOAL+ IIR or LOAL+ mmwr.
Bit odd to use LMUR as the example when it is about 9 that the seeker actually goes live from my investigations. Very human directed for the first bit.
But bigger missiles could reasonably secure locks out to 20, under ideal scenarios.

IIR seekers can have MITL + LOAL, litterally you can see what the missle is doing, there is nothing more versatile other than an actual loitering munition.
and i would personally take LOAL+MMW over LOAL-MITL+IIR anyday of the week.

Bigger missile = bigger battery / relevant cooling apparatus = more room to increase seeker acquisition range. This is in no way a technical dissertation of seeker functionality.

and I think that MITL part is very niche. Only useful in very specific situations. But if the context is War Thunder, then MMW will always be superior. Otherwise why do we have IIR+MITL+GNSS weapons but not even basic MMW weapons?

Devs are technically right on the whys that most things are permeable to radio waves, more so than IR. But evidently this is not such a problem in the eyes of the players.
When the mode released the average RP gain was 50 000+ RP and ~500k-1mil SL for a good game.
For a gamemode that lasts 1h that seems pretty fair, if not worse than the gains your can get in ARB.
ARB can be 60 000+ RP and ~1mil SL in an hour with 20min good matches.
The rewards now are ridiculous for the amount of time you spend in the match.

Buk M1 from april event has perfect range, it didnt shoot over whole map, but also didnt allow blues to fly free over red side.
since the gripen can carry the AARGM-ER does this mean that it will get it ingame aswell now that that missile is being implemented?

I disagree, the engagement range of the BUK is alright, as of now but it is too effective at intercepting munitions.
