In the current air meta, the F-22 will be highly mediocre yeah
It’s strength will be closing the distance but once you get there, you have what, 6 amraams and no HMD paired with a non gimballed, vintage AESA. It’ll be competitive but very underwhelming provided the hype, and i mean the only way it’s going to be top dog is with a full external payload (degrading its stealth heavily) and with whatever avionics upgrades have been done in the last couple of years, like the HMD.
Tested in early/mid 2010’s so we could definitely get it the same way French Rafale F3R got scorpion

I think they will add some more modern variant. Like the F-16C and F-15C, we didn’t get the early versions.

Not sure why you’re chiming in, you’ll end up with a 0.5 k/d regardless of how strong the raptor is
If they didn’t, it would have worse missiles than current top tier US

who wants block 10 f22 when we have J20 they will only be equal in the higher blocks later additions but I’m guessing J20 will be best 5th gen side by side with f35

Wasn’t aware the F-22 even could. I thought it was limited to x6 AIM-120D-5/AIM-9X in the weapons bay
only single loaded in this picture but thats a double AMRAAM rack, and it has the inboard stations as well.

even internal its 6x AIM-120C/D and 2x AIM-9M/X
and even with the same missile count F-22 would be way better than F-16 due to the crazy flight performance
it can supercruise faster than the rafails IRL top speed, and has a fairly high top speed along with insane acceleration and turn performance
I just remember it weighing a fuck ton. I should re-read up on the F-22. Thanks for bringing this to my attention
