HISTORY
In 1935, after a long discussion, 2 pieces of Chevrolet truck chassis of 1 and a half ton (2 axle) and 2 and a half ton (3 axle) respectively were acquired for construction as armored vehicles. The trucks were delivered with only the front and torpedo wall (which was completely normal) and from the pictures it appears that the only things that were kept from this were screens, lights and bumpers. everything else was built up. in addition to the normal driver’s position, only the steering wheel was mounted in the rear position, so that the gas, brake, clutch and gear had to be operated by the front driver regardless of which direction the wagon was going in. Armor plates were mounted around the crew compartment that went up to about 1 meter. the grill and bonnet were also replaced with bonnet plates

Photos from the exercises at Gardermoen in 1939 show no surviving 2 and a half tonne cannon. Along the way, other modifications were also made to the carriages, presumably as a result of experiences during exercises. In service these proved to be very serviceable vehicles and they were popular with opponents during the exercises. They were used in exercises in all years from 1935 to 1939 in several places in the country and they visited all DR recruit schools.

On 9 April 1940, both armored vehicles were at Gardermoen and they were not used during the campaign. Their further fate after they were taken over by the Germans is not known today

In the game, this would be a mobile light tank, with the ability to enter most vehicles it will encounter at rank 1-2. it is mobile, fast and perfectly protected, will withstand most machine guns, maybe 12.7 as well

Live ammunition in 7.92x61 MG heavy from Raufoss had cartridge cases and caps in brass. Production took place from 1937 to 1944 with steel jacketed projectiles of 14.2 grams.

For firing tests in 1936, cartridges with two stars and an R at 12 o’clock were tested. Ammunition from 1943 and 1944 has copper-plated projectiles with a steel jacket. A small number of cartridges loaded by Finower Industrie GmbH in Germany with German pattern markings have been observed. These are dated 1943 with factory code cg. The German designation for this caliber is “7.9 mm Patr s.S 294/2 (n) norw tung” or “Patrone M/37”.

The cartridges were normally packed in cloth bands of 220 cartridges. These were regular 250 tapes with the last 30 cartridge pockets cut away. The ammunition was delivered in wooden boxes with 9 cardboard boxes, each containing one cloth band. The label on the wooden box was white. The cardboard boxes had an arrow on the lid which should point towards the weapon when you put the box in the ammunition box. This meant that the belt remained with the projectiles in the correct direction. These belts were designated “Sharp ammunition, heavy, unmixed”. If the belts contained tracer cartridges, the designation was “Sharp ammunition, heavy, mixed”.

The ammunition was produced until 1944. After this, it was reloaded in old empty casings to an unknown extent.

-1. It definitely wouldn’t be mobile. From what I’ve found, the weight of the armored truck should be 4.5-5 tons. With a 26hp engine, it would be extremely sluggish and slow.
