North Korean Aviation Sub-Tree

Ki-54 I didn’t include because I’m not sure the North Korean’s armed it, and their indigenous bomber (which may have been based on the Ki-54) fills the same niche.

The MiG-15UTI I also considered, I’ll try add it in a future update.

Ok this is going to be a hot take

But

If the China tree has both China’s, why can’t the sub-tree have both Koreas?

At least then you’ll get the SX-3, T-50/FA-50, KF-21 and some more interesting versions of the F-5.

China having Taiwan as a subtree is already debated over, but now you want to have South Korea in The Chinese tt…

I said it was a hot take

Because a) what relation does South Korea have to China at all, and b) if both Koreas are added, you might as well do a United Korean tree

PRC and Taiwan have both claimed to be the legitimate representatives of China for a long time in historical periods, and the idea of Taiwanese independence has only gradually emerged in the past decade. There is no dispute in the international community. There is no need to discuss such political issues.

then why did you bring the discussion up?

North Korea may have successfully developed copies of both the IRIS-T and PL-11, seen in 2021. Not yet seen mounted on aircraft as far as I know

Here’s to hoping DPRK’s airforce gets their hands on Su-30s and/or Su-35s.

I really hope one day I can play DPRK planes in air realistic battles in the chinese air tree.

Any guesses what the Unknown Bomber is?

Hopefully as part of the United Korean Tree.

I want to see it in the Chinese tree because then you can rather easily make it branch off of the Chinese tree past the J-6 and then just implement the planes before it as skins for the Chinese equivalents. For example, a regular line Yak-9P with a KPAAF skin, IL-10 with a KPAAF skin, La-9 with a KPAAF skin, MiG-15/J-2, MiG-17/J-4/J-5, MiG-19/J-6, etc.
I made a write up a while back (that I never finished) that does exactly that

Plus for this is that you can do it for aircraft that aren’t in the specific N. Korean line too, like the KPAAF A-5IIs or F-7Is

Take with a (heavy) grain of salt

+1 for sheer comedic value

XD so let’s upgrade our Soviet Era to Russian Federation. Aka worse. Not in weapons but complications.

Just make them skins of the existing vehicles, half of the proposed tree have identical models in the USSR and CHN trees, and there are already DPRK skins for some Soviet bombers in-game.

That is incorrect; there are still a lot of differences between a North Korean T-34 or IS-2 than the original.

Same applies for aircraft. It’s not a drastic change though. So your point still stands, nonetheless would be good for a United Korean TT

I got some nice news in regard to North Korea’s aviation. Some years ago North Korea displayed (mock-up) some new aerial weapons they working on like the AGP-250 as shown in my previous comment but also a new what seem to be Beyond Visual Range AAM.

Picture here of these aerial weapons :

Now i am happy to say that this particular BVR missile has undergone testing on the MiG-29 platform. The AGP-250 (rocket boosted assume) and the electro optic glide bomb next to it have also been displayed in front of the MiG-29 and and next to SU-25 platform and have been carried on the North Korea’s new MQ-1 clone.

Pictures here :

Of course there is little to no information but it’s really some nice and exciting news.
