F/A-18A on steroids, u get basically the best Sparrows ingame (but still Sparrows), a very good FM for dogfights and fast reaction, decent amount of countermesures and basically all the good things of a Hornet.
u should play it for air superiority, and yeah it’s a very cool option for grinding the british tech tree.
just make sure to always hug the ground and pray multipath actually works against 13.7 uptiers, while flying high in 11.7 downtiers.

R-60M is the worst IR missile ingame, i would even say a R-3S is better than that BS.
the reason of why it’s at 11.0/11.7 is cuz it’s so extremely ez to dodge and has basically no range they use all-aspect IR missiles against rear-aspect IR missiles that are way better than the R-60M.
A-10A uses AIM-9L which is one of the best IR missiles ingame, but it’s super slow, while Su-25 is fast but has the horribly bad R-60M.
when you have no countermeasures it’s not that easy… I’m not sure what you mean but I find it way easier to dodge R-3S than R-60Ms. Or maybe you’re confusing it with the R-60?
I gotta acknowledge than AIM-9Ls in themselves are more dangerous to me, but since the only 9Ls I face are those of A-10s, it’s rarely too big of a deal
U rarely face R-60M using flareless planes, and whatever they are extremely ez to dodge even without countermesures.

Rare to see a russian main spend 3 R-60Ms in a single kill. If it takes u a lot of energy then it would be able of gun killing u instead of using almost all it’s A2A weaponry against ONE SINGLE ENEMY.

Not one alone, the issue is there’s always more MiG-21s somewhere, the enemy team seems to never run out of them.
But that’s just one part of a wider issue which is you just can’t have a 1v1 in peace and your teammates are usually too bad to count on them
also weird to see more than 1 MiG-21bis, most russian mains just grind for the MiG-23M/MLD since they’re way better than the ugly MiG-21bis.
and welcome to almost toptier, where u can’t get a single 1v1 cuz there’s always a weirdo launching missiles at u while u’re dogfighting at 2000m, 450km/h, and maybe even damaged.
