Gaijin adding the new SAMs haven’t stopped the main issues and that is and always will be the Kh-38 (oh but Luke the same can be done with the Hammer and AGM-65.) Yes but those missiles are slooow and that lies the real issue with the Kh-38 it is the speed of the damn thing.
IRIS-T SLMs hide behind rocks and buildings and just obliterate everything but the Kh-38, always seems to get through. It shoots down slow ponderous Hammers, Brimstones and AGM-65s but those Kh-38s are too fast and too strong.
Just remove the Kh-38 and we don’t need SAMs like the IRIS-T SLM and then Russia does not need a BUK M3 and the US players don’t need Patriot.

We all know Blowpipe Land Rover/Shorlands are the top tier SAM hunters.
And as an alternative, all thermal imagers and IR missiles are removed from NATO aircraft?
See it’s these stupid remarks, you know the Kh-38 is broken in game and gets more kills now than a Typhoon with 18 Brimstones or any AGM-65 carrier. But you just will not relent your I win button…

Just like when the F-14 appeared, I can only advise one thing - learn to play by flying near the ground. (Because stupidly throwing missiles from 20 km, any “Pantsir”/“Tunguska” gets a lot of minutes to shoot them all down.)
It’s not even close to the F-14, F-14 was strong least you didn’t have to face it in a Phantom…MiG 23 hardly suffered, you avoided the BVR hopeful Aim54 spam and then hunted them down with your all aspect missiles.
Kh-38 is the biggest powershift we have had in this game and new current day SAM systems are not countering it.
If it was removed it would solve a huge amount of issues at top tier.
I for one think more SAMs would be great.

We now need more SAMS as Gaijin introduced them to a handful of nations. But without Kh-38 we wouldn’t need batteries of SAMS that can fire 16 missiles fire and forget.
And the only thing the X-38 changed was that if the Soviet team won, it would finish off anyone who couldn’t shoot down missiles. And the F-14 changed literally nothing: it literally brought everyone down to earth and forced the developers to pit F-14 against F-14 so that the fights wouldn’t be one-sided.
Doesn’t help that some of the new AAs are just appallingly bad. I have around 20 games in the spyder and I would give anything to just port my ADATS over to my 12.0 Israel lineup instead of having to play this pos.
God id love to see how far the top tier RU winrate would plummet if the KH-38 was removed

Yeah that’s a whole nother issue, Israel desperately needed a new SAM…Gaijin spent as per usual all the development time on a single vehicle in this case the IRIS-T SLM and the rest were left with half working broken SAMs.
But the point that I make is, yes nations needed new SAMs (Israel the main one!) We did not need this escalation if the Kh-38 did not just even now totally take over games.

The Russian team wins when the Kh-38 carriers get kills. Even with IRIS-T and new SAMs they still do not stop the Kh-38 reliably.
They literally added 2 filters for you to shoot down just the X-38, but that’s still not enough for you.
Filters are fine and all, but the missile would actually need to huh… hit, instead of passing by like they so often do currently

I don’t play IRIS-T or Germany but when I am teamed with them the missiles get through. Players also spam R-77 at the IRIS-T missiles to confuse the Radar and act as a countermeasure.
I doubt it would go that far, especially if they keep their same teammates which seem to be German and Sweden fairly often at least thats what it feels like to me anyhow.
