Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

?

Eurofighter and Rafale users got an early variant of their plane when it was adecuate; both good enough of a counterpart to the latest Russian and American additions, but timed well enough for them not to come too early;

Before that, they got equivalent aircraft via subtree additions in order not to fall behind despite their lack of local options.

What are suggesting should have been done instead?

You think earlier Eurofighter and Rafale variants should have been added sooner? You think Top Tier Air RB would have been a better place if we had had slightly worse Eurofighters and Rafales zooming around Top Tier against F-16Cs and MiG-29 SMTs?

I’m more amazed that someone created such a concept and actually thinks that the concept is good for a game that would have to compete against Battlefield

No they did not

No, they did not what?

Eurofighters are limited to AIM-9Ms and AIM-120Bs. That’s effectively being the depiction of a (fictional) early variant.

When F-22 and alikes come, Tranche 3 Eurofighters will come with Meteors and IRIS-T.

The german eurofighter represents the tranche 2 block 15, which i believe is one of the more modern variants germany uses

Which again, would have been fine for Italy and Britain, but probably not Germany with their only CAS being the ASSTA1

Tranche 1 Eurofighters and Rafale C F1s would be early variants.
Tranche 2 Eurofighters and Rafale C F3s are not early variants.

The Rafale F3R is not an early variant of the Rafale.

And F-22 doesn’t even justify Meteor and IRIS-T, 120C-5 or even C-7 would be fine vs. an F-22 early

I mean, they aren’t happy with their Eurofighters CAS capabilities anyways, so giving them a T1 Block 5 probably would have produced the same outcome lol

I am speaking in terms of gameplay-wise addition. They are clearly meant to be transitional planes to the future IRIS-T / Meteor slingers that will come alongside 5th gen fighters, hence the artificially limited loadouts, etc.

You seem to think it would have been great to see this come before the ones we already got. So I wonder, what exactly makes these variants so much worse that they would have been perfectly balanced against F-16Cs and MiG-29SMTs?

And in any case, I don’t even get what all this rambling is about. That “Gaijin did not do (X) in the past”? So what? We are well past that already. We got Rafales, we got Eurofighters, what’s all of this even about anymore!?

True, though that is because the Typhoon is massively ahisotrically nerfed whilst no one else is

This applies to literally everyone at top tier

Tranche 2 Block 10 and Block 15 introduced IRIS-T and Meteors.

I don’t.

Rafale never had a MSA Radar in any form and the Avionics remained mostly the same, except various Software updates.

Not to the game. Because it’s way, way too early for them.

Gaijin will probably add newer tranche and Rafale variants in a higher BR with these new munitions in the future along with Russian and American counterparts.

Then Tranche 1 Eurofighters would have been the better choice.

Everyone else has AGMs they actually used and they aren’t massively nerfed.

Whilst the US is limited to only 6x AGM-65s on the F-15E, the F-15E did actually carry 6x AGM-65s and they are fully modeled.

Typhoon never used Brimstone 1s and ontop of that they are limited to SAL only.

Then we also have a massively restricted GBU loadout

And what exactly would we have gained with this…?

Typhoons?

F-15E, F-16C, and AV-8B all missing GBU loadouts as well
