the whole Japanese tech tree used the flag of the Japanese navy and not of the country of Japan
and now the Japanese tech tree uses the flag that japan used from 1870 to 1999
(over 120 years)

The ww2 planes do have the other rising sun flag… but I do like to see the new flag tbh(had to check the flags to be sure)…
Lol and the flag you said germany used is also the war flag used by the army/navy(slightly modified(havent found proof that the luftwaffe has used it)) so it make the same arguement for germany

My point still remains, the original flag of the germans cant be used and not even the army flag, and for japan they were slightly different, so the civil flag would be the best

I just want to select a flag from the techtree to be as the flag for the country
Do you see japanese army vehicles woth the modern army flag or with the state flag?
If I play naval I maybe want the naval flag, maybe I want the gdr flag when playing sth east german
All I see is you complaining about a non issue just because you don’t like the proper flag as much

First it was because of the Chinese that the flag was changed
Then you wanted the flag to change automatically depending on your lineup
And now you want to be able to select the flag yourself
All iam seeing is you complaining about a non issue, because you like the rising sun flag more than the proper Japanese flag

Wanting a new flags you can change for certain nations and saying this happend bc of a certain event?
And you shouldnt conclude that I like the rising sun more than the hinomaru flag just bc I have this theory why this happend now…
