I have no issues you have. What I did was I uninstalled the game completely on monday and installed it again yesterday afternoon. Everything is crisp. I got no issues, everything cranked up to max 4k @ 144FPS.
Specs:
W10 64bit installed on system (C) SSD, separate from the game.
DX12
Ryzen 7 5800X3D
RTX4070
32GB DDR4 3200MHz
Game is installed on (E) Kingston KC3000 Nvme.
Try doing what I did. Completely uninstal the game and download it from scratch again. Backup your controls.
The only issue I have is, I can no longer alt tab when the game runs in Fullscreen windowed mode. :(
Useless info, unless you post your ingame graphics settings as well.
From what I have tried so far, no matter what AA version you use, it will be blurry if you leave Sharpness slider all the way to the left. (which seems to be default setting for some stupid reason)
I have an old laptop with gtx1650 and i have no fps loss or no big graphic changes playing on medium or hight graphic quality. The only difference i can see here is ground lightning
Again insufficient, because Sharpness slider makes a big difference.
For example with FSR Sharpness with less than 3 clicks is blurry and over 3 clicks everything is oversharpened.
XeSS and TSR have different Sharpness sweet spots.
Everything maxed out. DLAA with sharpness all the way to the right (max sharpness).
Motion blur turned off. Grass range all the way to minimum. DLSS quality.
Those are my settings.
I had a hunch that the a graphical update with a scale such as this would require alot of files to be changed. So to avoid any overlooked zombie files creating conflict with new files, I just straight up completely reinstalled the game.
Did you do any file cleanup after uninstall? Games tend to leave a lot of files after uninstall, which could get picked up again by the new installation.
Yeah, from my experience, pretty much every new AA method is blurry (just like on your second picture), because they set sharpness slider all the way left as a default.
My guess is that TSR or TAA was set for you by default with sharpness all the way to left (basically turned off completely, hence the lack of sharpness)
If you don’t want to bother, just turn on SSAA to x4.
If you want to play around with it a bit to make it look better. Set AA to DLSS “Native” and play around with sharpness slider to find sweet spot.
If you have AMD card choose FSR instead of DLSS and increase sharpness just by tiiiiiny bit from the left.
