New battleships in a nutshell

I think you got my point slightly wrong. Im not meaning this fire spreading mechanic should be coupled to reload rate, because as u said (i think) its got nothing to do with that.
But if some ships have shells (and propellant? idk) stored in the shell rooms in the barbette with the danger of having these exploded and then, somehow, even if the ships survives the barbette shell room explosion also the ammo in the magazines disappear (because of game mechanic limitations apparently) then shouldnt it be easier with this setup to keep the fire proof doors to the magazines shut to prevent a catastrophic explosion and fire spreading to the magazines and ONLY risk losing your shell rooms (or at least in some cases prevent the fire/explosion to spread from barbette shell room to magazines)?

While the ship thats constantly running ammo and propellant through the elevators while these are on fire is on much lower risk of any sort of explosion? how does that make sense? do they run their shells through invisible bulkheads? or am i missing something?

Oh on that point…
it seems it is rather on explosion spread mechanism, which is little different from fire spread mechanism.
Both mechanisms are quite weird yes, even with the introduction of the system it is quite double standards per ships.

Naval game mode is lost anyways. Last time I tried for a task, I had a team of 4 players and the overwhelming rest just AI bots. Its an indicator that something goes wrong. And this after an eternity to find a match. The last patch with all those historic battleships didn’t help to attract players.

I didn’t even spaded my Bismark and gave it up. Playing insta exploding ships vs. Soyuz and some others which absolutely never explode is just silly. Braindead balancing. Whose Idea was it to let ships play against each other, which are so different. Some are immune to lethal explosions and others explode permanently with one or two shots.

Maybe gamemods can ask some devs what the plan was. I’m playing naval related games since many, many years, but this …this bs I never ever had on my screen. So long, I’m playing other modes.

I have to say, this was the most terrible attempt. Not all historic battleships should not have added at once.
Their historical performance is so far different each other. One ship cannot beat other, even if all the possible buff it can get. This is obvious even with no bias exist.

They should have take months, or years to let all those happens, so make one ship at least have happy for one update. The past decision of only two to three new top battleship per update was clever idea.

Well Soyuz’s number has drastically reduced last week when I played, but there are Iowa left, which is still far superior than others XD.

Iowa is also inert to ammo rack detonations. Its always funny to see them tanking enemy shells for the whole match, while detonating others with turret or barbette shots. Its so unfair that I decided to just abandon this gamemode. At least the capital ship BRs are unplayable.

I just don’t understand Gajin. When I’d develop a competitive game I would never allow such glaring balance issue to exist. I mean ship A shots B the whole remainder of the match and it just bleeds crew, while ship B shots the turret area and inflict these fatal, annoying explosions… I don’t understand their reasoning… ofc players get frustrated and leave. Games need to be balanced. Please, someone tell Gajin this stunning truth^^

Scharnhorst(who died mostly to gunfire and exploded underwater) being Scharnhorst for years is okay, SU get their own Scharnhorst(with nerfed reload) is not okay. Learn how to kill it mates.

Scharn was NEVER ok! There’s tons of threads about it here on the forums…that said, if top tier sucks, there’s other BR’s to enjoy still - @Thodin :-)

It was ok in previous patch with elevator fast kills, that was most balanced patch, now we again at “best reload wins” with accuracy nerfed, bigger maps and elevator fire nerf.

i made a suggestion for scarn to receive same guns as Gneisenau

every boat dies to ammo rack but Iowa and soyuz sad

Scarn is a tricky ship barbette fires one tapping it 24/7 was not balanced she bleeds crew like no tomorrow when hit by anything and her fast reload really only works on cruisers as her 11inch guns pen good but do little damage most BB can angle against her and 8.0s like mutsu or amagi anything with high pen guns very easily kill her just gotta know where to aim not to mention the barbette fires a artificial nerf whole reason british boats are designed with so much flash protection is cause they use SILK bags that a have envelope on back with black powder that ignites main charges german boats dont need most of that cause they cover the charges in brass cartridgres which make them far more resistant to flash
