New battleships in a nutshell

Sadly I can’t (don’t have Repulse so T8 is locked).
All the other ships in hangar are shown at deep displacement. Is Vanguard’s correct in battle?
If you look at the draft marks they should be at XXXV / XXXIV at the bow with the black anti-fouling just visible

It has been brought up before and a TM said not to trust hanger depths as they can differ from in battle. Game has nearly updated, I’ll take a screenshot from test drive for you when Its done

Still very high, can you get the draft marks at the bow?

Is Bismarck easily detonatable? In the hangar, I am seeing the bow as a major weakspot, but I do not have it yet.

Is it lower in the water in battle then the hangar?

The draft marks on 3D model is for cosmetic only and doesn’t match the real dimensions

Very true. I killed two in the first game I played, 1 salvo for each.

Everybody who preordered while they still had the Kronstadt ammo model on the dev server got bamboozled.

Yet the Soyuz still keeps the impossible ammo model.

X-ray model = / = hitbox

Soyuz’s ammo hitbox is much larger than it visually looks in X-ray view

Is that a factor in-game tho? If that’s the case what about the impossible 420mm cemented armor on the Soyuz?

I know. It’s taller than it looks on the xray model. It extends to the 50mm deck armor or almost to it.

But it isn’t longer than it looks, it’s as long as the xray model. Which is probably still too short to fit all those shells.

Yamato is extremely easy to kill. Killed a few already in my Gneisenau. 3 in my most recent battle, literally a few minutes ago

They seem to match close enough and give a reference point.
That doesn’t change the fact that the ships are sitting too high in the water, the armour and components prove that in of themselves.
If it was a minor difference it wouldn’t really matter, but we are talking about 2-3m which completely negates their protection and therefore is game breaking.

Yeah, I feel bad for all of those who G.E. it out of hype.

Even at 7.7 it will be bullied with that armor scheme.
It’ll be a mess to balance unless they add some magical auto-bounce mechanic on her nose and back like W.G…
For now it only has some use on naval E.C.

Couldnt agree more.

My latest Yamato kill, once again with Gneisenau, it was sailong bow on on South Kvarken from like 17km away. Few salvos in and I killed it. It doesn’t feel right killing them that easily

Funnily if they show flat broadside you would have not been able to penetrate them.

Yamato is the only ship that would be more vulnerable when angled than showing flat broadside.

That’s very weird, because I’ve caused ammo detonation kills on like 5 or 6 Yamatos showing full broadside. I fired at them on the hull, just between No. 2 turret and that secondary gun. After at most 5 salvos they go up in flames (I’m not always the best at aiming tho)

It depends on the range and gun, if you are within range that can penetrate, they will explode instantly when you hit. In general, Yamato’s armour is more effective at flat broadside than with angle/bow-on

Gneisenau, at about 8-12km are my usual combat ranges

Any sub 12km range is a death sentence to Yamato

It is not.

Red: shallow waterline
Green: waterline in battles

I genuinely do not think such placement of magazine can be even remotely called as “suck”

Looks like the vast majority of British ships are sitting at deep load draft

The lightest ship in game is Barham which sit at the design draft (L.W.L.) but there’s no British capital ship sitting above that.
