You mean the same metallurgy that was incapable of producing plates thicker than 230mm, so they had to put two of them to get the armor protection they wanted causing a significant increase in weight for the amount of protection they got, all that to compensate for the lack of industrial capabilities while other nations could create 350mm+ belt with no issues?
The same metallurgy that lead to Sovetskaya Belorussiya being scrapped in place after only 6 months of building due to tens of thousands of faulty rivets?
The same engineering that was inspected by Italians ship builders (with Sovetskaya Ukraina), who had stern criticism of the design?
The same engineering that resulted in them putting 3x3 180mm turrets on a cruiser design that was absolutely not made for this kind of layout, resulting in half the intended RoF and god awful dispersion?
The same engineering that wasn’t even able to produce any Tashkent-class destroyers, the only ship in its class having been built by the Italians?
hm. sounds like my j-out strategy before he hits me saves me the headache of being slowly pickd apart if not dying from the first salvo without any chance of even scratching him as long as i dont have my whole team backing me up. while hes just moving without even having to maneuver because nothing can pen or hurt him anyhow. while every other sip in game has to do everything perfect facing the sojuz, he can basically play like a bot, giving clear and easy gun solutions and doesnt have to care to compensate for his own maneuvering to make his shots hit (because he doesnt have to maneuver) so why even try?
i dont like headache. peak gameplay actually when one guy can basically go same speed, never touch the rudder and be invincible, while the guy hes targeting (in a ship of 0.3 br lower) has to do everything perfect and still can only win when hes got multiple people of his team backing him up
I mean same enginery who delivered Man to space while USA flew their monkeys, and after war crated fearsome fleet of nuclear subs and rocket cruisers that could nuke the carrier battle groups. And same metallurgy that printed tanks like hotcakes.
You aroused with one book form eighties which based on single armor test for sure it explains it all.
ha yes
going to space in the 60s is the same as making a cemented plate in the 40s, same engineering team, same management, it goes without saying
At the end USSR can get the most “fearsome” (every nuclear power had one though so heh) sub fleet in the cold war or build as many “rocket cruisers” (good in a game like WT, not necessarily in reality, you don’t want too many expansive missiles and a large crew on one hull) as they want, the fact remain that they did not complete any major battleship during WW2.
Bringing it to the game so everyone has something to grind is fine, but in a balanced state, as it currently isn’t according to preliminary data
Unlike the ammunition and armor of Germany and Japan, which were tested in relatively detail by the United States and the United Kingdom after the war, no other country tested the ammunition and armor of Russia. The only comparative test might have taken place in 1919. At present, there is a lack of sufficient data to prove that Russia has made any improvements in this regard after 1945, but everyone knows that these projects came to an end after Stalin’s death.
Most countries had already produced reliable modern armor and artillery shells by 1943, except for Russia. Perhaps the performance of the thick armor and large-caliber shells produced by the Russians before 1945 was still at the WWI level. At least based on the tests known so far, it is not optimistic.
But I really don’t think slowly 381 can have effective hit on Gaijin’s 30s reloading 406cannon, in my expericence in PR.23, using SAP to hit the hull to red level and then change AP to destroy it maybe a feasible way to sink enemy’s PR.23. But the more effective way is when the game begin and enemy PR.23 presents her broadside to you, take this chance and light its turret 1 and 2’s mag.
Yamato and Roma under 50% win rate and barely above 1 K/D shows how bad the situation is for those 2 ships.
Yamato crippled by the armor, but it can be solved by taking less ammo and waiting a lot and spawning after the match started to turn around the ship and protect your frontal guns.
Roma just can’t deal with insanely long reload and dreadful dispersion, which you can’t do anything about it as it’s a pure artificial nerf.
Hope that these statistics can show them that something must be done.
Also started playing Richelieu and, if you angle her 45°, you turn into a tank.
Sometimes the barbette fires screw you up on the frontal gun, but most of the time you go down for loss of sinkability.
Yeah, I’m about to unlock the Yamato. Am I looking forward to play it? Not really. In fact I’m already sure its gonna be a pain in the ass. let alone spade it. Ah what a glorious time to play wt naval during the biggest and most meaningful patch for naval.
