People will disagree with you for Iowa’s excellent shell because they believe only explosive filler determine shell’s damage XD
Good summary overall, only questioning about Soyuz’s good ammo placement as it’s almost identical to Kronshtadt. I won’t call it terrible as real terrible is Yamato and Sevastopol exist, but I would rate is as ‘decent’
Hmm is that meant to be Soyuz mentioned twice or did you mean to maybe say another ship next? Just seems odd to say Soyuz is almost identical to Soyuz.
I think he meant that Soyuz ammo layout is identical to Kronstrad in the X-ray.
And it’s true, they just copy pasted the ammo layout and tower elevators from one ship to another and called it a day slapping on it the reload rate of a ground tested gun.
Also don’t worry about the mobility, we’re already working to prove that the Soyuz power plant can reach the same output of the USS Nimitz class, so a 50 knots max speed is possible.
Jokes aside, I think you should change the Yamato’s “bad armour” to “very bad armour”.
That bow and stern diamond shape can be defeated by actual 6.7 ships and even Gangut class dreadnoughts.
She will be a mess to balance like the Maus in GRB.
Let her stay where she is now and you can only try to perma-kite sacrificing the back turret, waiting the flood mechanic to kick in in a few salvos.
Bring her down in Br and she will dominate WWI BBs, ruining the game for everyone.
Yamato was just not built for the game modes and maps that we have right now.
Nothing new for IJN battleships. It feels like anything sneezing in your general direction causes a Fuso, Yamashiro or Hyuga to burst into flames, but people still play them (myself included). I guess as long as most players are clueless or bots it won’t be too much of an issue
Do it, it’s better to be honest when a ship has serious issues so that people won’t find themselves in disbelief when a random shell will detonate her magazines even if they’re full bow-in.
If they complain add my response so that they can understand.
Those 3 can still try to go bow-in or kite thanks to their distribuited armour scheme, Yamato can’t even do that.
But yes, all those ships tend to pop easily if someone knows where to aim.
Hehe, yeah, had one make the mistake of firing at me in the middle of duel I was having when playing Rodney. Brought my guns round and one tapped it :D
EC would be a suitable engagement distance for Yamato, but AB/RB would have difficulty taking advantage of the diamond-shaped angled armor on the bow and stern.
Immediately after respawning, the Yamato would be better off retreating at full speed or making a large turn in front of the enemy and keeping its distance anyway.
Since only battleships will appear, it may be better to give up on narrow MAPs and do long lance spam with the Shimakaze.
Yes, we should expand the MAP at least 5km, if not 10km. Or make the MAP as large as possible and allow people to choose between front and rear spawn locations, like the helicopter spawn in GRB. This would give a choice to those who want to engage immediately after spawning.
The Yamato group will slowly enter the battle from the rear. :D
I mean I’ll definitely play Yamato will be challenging but thats where the fun is. Definitely wont touch Soyuz i refuse to play blankly broken vehicles like that. My next grind will be Iowa cuz USA RAHHH
Yes to 5-10km increase and yes to have a lot more spawn point options, but I think had best leave the mega maps to NEC. Would kinda suck to accidentally spawn miles from the front in a regular NRB match.
But Should be reasonably trivial just to expand a lot of maps. Not exactly like they need to model terrain in naval
I’m at the point now that (ignoring coastal) ive got nothign to grind for Britain in air or naval. So can crack straight on with Vanguard when it drops.
Its nice just being able to play whatever I fancy whenever I fancy and I dont know if I want to commit to even starting the grind, let alone actually doing it
