so they added this new feature:
which is cool and all but for AA vehicles that rely on actually pointing their turrets at targets its a bit useless. sure it can hit sometimes but because the aim point is still coupled to your mouse in this screen, the point will drift significantly from the target given enough time and if the target moves a bit.
so my suggestion is, to make this menu useful to all AA vehicles that receive this, decouple the mouse from the aim point, let the radar do its thing. this is both more realistic and brings older systems (basically all pre iris-t fire and forget) to be more on par. its not exactly like we have aa crews constantly making manual adjustments because for some reason the turret decided to look somewhere else than where the radar is looking

this overlay is only realy needed for missle based anti air, since they can if the radar is good enough get more information of the target.
for ballistic based or beam riding systems the normal overlay is better, since they mostly do not obtain aditional information
the workings are already here, it will swap, look, and fire, might as well take the extra step to make these systems closer to real life with a simple change. can be especially nice because, assuming most of this is done server side, it would take away the latency issues mouse aimed missiles can have especially at longer ranges.
besides systems like the pantsir, tor, maybe flarakrad (dont know much about that one) were meant to be used in groups, often with a central control, so they are well capable of doing what is being described and it would give systems that have a 3 point guidance mode the opportunity to not actually suck while using said mode
i personally use the mouse to manually preaim the missle to smooth the flight path and preserve energy

the question isnt about what people use though, its about improving a new feature we are getting so its not exclusive to only a few vehicles while it could easily be used on more
like im not saying this in a hostile way but, its cool and all that you pre aim, its just not very relevant to the possibility of making this feature work for the others that should have it xD
