NASAMS HML for Sweden

I think I’ve seen Nasams II fired from the truck, although it may depend on the truck transporting the launchers.

Yeah could be, but i think most nations use hook trucks to transport the launchers

Here I have a photo of the Nasams II in Chile and on the rear the towed radar, although as I said before I don’t know if that model of truck allows you to fire them, I have only seen a photo of the Nasams II in Chile fixed to the ground.

Think that has to be dismounted from the truck before firing
You could just have a radar vehicle able to plop down stationary AA but for now, Gaijin isn’t going that route

Edit: thats not a chilean vehicle i think. Rather a truck with the SLAMRAAM 6 rail launcher mounted on it by Raytheon.

Looks to me like its closer to a HML/SLAMRAAM variant. I translated the article and it mentioned a battery attached to a mechanised group, perhaps this vehicle is for that?

Also, Qatari HML bed:

Doesn’t it also have access to AIM-9X? idk the exact range on it but i’ve seen mentions of 30km+

I think some 9X SAM models feature a added booster pack so it could probably use them.

Yeah, latest fitted with 9X 2 i believe

ITO12 can launch from truckbed

Well, it’s a good thing then that Finland also uses NASAMS, or ITO-12.

can’t fire from the truck as far as i’m aware
Gaijin could def just have stationary AA as a placeable for radar vehicles tho if they ever go down that route

Interesting! Do you have any more info regarding the setup, videos or something?

Sadly can’t find anything that I can release that wouldn’t have some parts restricted
