The 10km HMD might be a typo as I was able to lock targets beyond 14km via HMD, gonna double check later.
Good observation, I was able to lock at 17km so it might be 20km limit aswell
Pretty sure they said the J10A doesn’t have it’s correct engine atm and should be getting the Mig29 engine. So it’s lacking alot of thrust that it should have.
I’d also like to mention that it only has 18 countermeasures in total??
Like WHY???
I hope it’s either a bug or is temporarily missing countermeasure pods but if it ships like this, it’ll be DOA.
Ain’t no way anyone can properly play in top tier with 18 counter measures.
Edit: Not the mig29 engine but the Su27 engine.
Although right now it has the Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-220 engine and not the AL31F
it has the AL-31F of the Su-27, not the MiG-29 engine

the JF-17 has a derivative of the MiG-29s engine, the RD-33 → RD-93
The current engine on the J-10 is named F100 PW220 but its thrust is at the AL-31F level, which makes me believe its name is just a place holder for now.
Yesterday I did several test flights witht the JF-17. Damn, that thing’s maneuverability is insane even for a MiG based modification
It is pretty light and seems to have a lot of wing/lift surface
The JF-17/FC-1 is indeed classified as a Light Multirole Jet fighter. Also to mention that is a relatively cheap jet compared to its counterparts

Its turning to right itself and its really easy to reproduce this weird behavior. Just hold elevator and rudder in manual control, and after breaking the space-time, it starts behaving strangely like this.

J10 Has a problem in the canards, as players who have tested the Chengdu J10 will see, there is something curious about the operation of the canard when using the canard to raise the nose.
