Uhhh I think it is, but I dont recal it ever having the constant designation type set for it. Although if it was a bug originally it might have been anyways.
DL happens when theres a cercle around the target
That’s IOG, DL is the small notch above the target.
Yeah, like su-35 irst has 50km front aspect detection for a non afterburning su-30, 90km rear aspect.
Even the og su-27 irst is severely underperforming for afterburning targets
@thisconnect你好 Looks like they finally did add this one line, to the Derby-ER today in the form of “targetclosureratemin”

@Xeno_quaza i just realized you closed the maneuverability report and all of your aam-3/aam-4 reports, is it actually overperforming/underperforming or nah?
The information used in the closed reports was not of sufficiently confirmable accuracy around some specifics.
The AAM-3 and 4 are still underperforming in other metrics, such as by my still open bug reports. And there are other ways they are innacurate to IRL. However, due to rules around using datamined values and such, most aren’t suitable for reporting.
Both missiles, imo, deserve major reworks. But as it stands, it would be rather difficult to get either to happen.
just found this brochure for astra that explicitly states irst is only for b4 lock on seekerhead slaving… I don’t get how irst by itself can give datalink irl especially since IRL most irsts can only range up aircraft until 20km… (su-35 irst)
Old irsts like the ones on early su-27/su-27sm/su-30s can only range up till 3 km
