Mitsubishi G4M2a model 24 ostu (一式陸上攻撃機二四乙型)
The Mitsubishi G4M2a model 24 ostu is a Japanese long-range medium bomber designed to improve the defense capabilities of the G4M2a model 24 / model 24 Ko bombers. This aircraft was put into production in 1944, about 170 aircraft of this version were built.
History
After the creation of the G4M2a Model 24 bomber, it was quickly found that its defensive armament was insufficient, and it was decided to improve the defensive armament, just like in the G4M2 model 22 bombers. The first attempt to improve the defense capabilities was the G4M2a model 24 ko version, which instead of machine guns had Type 92 cannons installed, the Type 99 model 1 guns were installed in the side gunners’ positions. However, during production, it was found that the production of the better Type 99 model 2 cannons was high enough, which were more rapid firing and had a higher projectile velocity. The new version of the aircraft was designated G4M2a model 24 ostu and was introduced into service in 1944. Although the G4M2a model 24 ostu still had the problems of its previous versions, its defensive capabilities improved significantly, so the aircraft was produced in larger numbers. These bombers served until the end of the war.
Construction description
The Mitsubishi G4M2a model 24 ost bomber is structurally identical to the G4M2a bomber in the 24 model. The only difference is the defensive armament used. The dorsal and tail turrets were equipped with a Type 99 model 2 20 mm cannon instead of the Type 99 model 1 cannon, and Type 99 model 2 cannons were installed in the side positions instead of 7.7 mm Type 92 machine guns.

Summary
The Mitsubishi G4M2a model 24 ostu is an interesting aircraft for Japan in War Thunder. This bomber has great self-defense capabilities and powerful anti-ship armament (Type 91 Kai 7 torpedo). This bomber would be a very good addition to the TT, but it would also be a good aircraft as a premium or event. I encourage you to discuss in the comments and to share your own knowledge on this subject.
Finally, I apologize for the linguistic and logical errors because unfortunately English is not my main language and I had to use google translator.
