Mikoyan-Gurevich VKS MiG-31BM (RPKB) Foxhound-C: Foxhound redux

well i am not the right person to ask for this so just hope someone know in this area respond to you.

It’s for the prototype/pre production BM, they were supposed to have ground attack capability but the project was halted.

But when MiG had the funds to continue the BM project a few years later the ground attack capability was scrapped

This would’ve been for MiG-31BM izd.01/MiG-31F, the MiG-31BM that exists these days cannot utilize such weaponry.

Also just a lot of things on that listing are fake…

Curse you Nikitin…

For once MiG didn’t cancel a program over financial concerns lol…

The BM prototypes did

The MiG-31M was a pure interceptor with no ground-attack capability

figured such.

although Rosoboronexport says it can, but i will give you that it doesnt even mention the variant.
the Website is from 2025, so having stuff for 20+ year old prototypes wouldn’t make Sense, would it

“so having stuff for 20+ year old prototypes wouldn’t make Sense, would it”

Except when they mention “Kopyo” on the in the bottom bunch of text, a radar that was solely exported to India on MiG-21UPG… and offered on MiG-21-93… a 30 year old modernization prototype… Or Su-39, yet another ~25 year old prototype for export that was never exported.

But it simply wouldn’t make sense, would it.

it uses the radars as an example though. also gonna say that is says armor-piercing warhead, for the kh-31A. but but

I guess this and the other Foxhound are the second and third to last MiGs 🤧

Release the Foxhounds (Gaijin could release MiG-31 izd 01/01DZ first then this).
