but that would be rUsSiAn bIaS
apparently lol, Su-27sm radar is to dogshit to take advantage of the missiles ability to compete in the bvr arnea, SMT has a decent radar but 6 missiles max will hurt it in bvr, su 34 can be a much stronger plane if it gets the R77-1 with its good radar set and can take good advantage of them
What I have info so R-77 entered service in 1994 and R-77-1 in 2011 (development began in 2003).
If you want historical accuracy then Russian aircraft should be restricted to R-27, because that’s still what’s used the majority of the time.
Wouldn’t be restricted to R-27’s, would have the choice of R-77’s and/or R-27’s. Which is how it is ingame. Its what the custom loadout system is for.
It would also have the r73, because that is what they used the majority of the time
Well, yes it did enter service, but was limited in numbers due to the low funding that Vympel had at the time
Ive been backtracking the forums abit - so dont be surprised you get a reply for something this long in the past.
But afaik only the MiG-29M 9.61s are equipped with MAWS.
That MAWS was later taken as a modular upgrade on the MiG-35
From Yefim Gordon’s “Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum”
Seems that the 29M (9.15) did in fact have a MAWS
thanks for the info, although im surprised they managed to fit a Mak-F into a MiG-29 airframe lmao
How many cms does the 2005 version of this plane get
According to this it uses 2x BVP-60-26 flare dispensers wich hold 30 CMs each.
We already have those flares pods in Warthunder (or at least similiar ones) on the MiG-29SMT with 60x Additional countermeasures (single pop)
+1
Is this the same one Egypt used as well as MiG-29M2?
No, that’s the 2005 mig 29m, which has a better rwr and is lighter. The mig 29m in this suggestion is the late 80s/early 90s rework of the plane.
Ah, is this the one called MiG-33 sometimes?
Yeah
Did egypt only buy twin seat MiG-29Ms? I can never find any picture of an egyptian single seat MiG-29M (2005) or specifications other than that of the M2
Suggestion passed to the developers for consideration.
