Really ?? Lmaooo he was ironically fun cause of his bullshirt takes
it doesnt need r-77-1, r-77s work more than fine at 13.3 the problem is the flight model. once that is fixed the smt is a very competitive if not great 13.3. i legit have no issue with r-77s if you use them within their paramaters theyre great missiles, r-77-1 would absolutely mean an uptier as theyre the best missiles in the game right now and theyll be for a while unless gaijin unfucks the amraams.
I hope we get s MiG-29M2, Kr or MiG-35 soon. The USSR tree is overdue for another plane in the MiG line.
Well tbh at least from what I see, Gaijin tend to leave something when it needs another FM changes, maybe for more than second time. Like, the Mirage 2000 FM used to have a J-10 like FM, and now is mix of J-10 and F-16C, but with the new FM there’s still something’s wrong left behind, like the rollrate now becoming worser (despite all Delta Wing Fighter are always have better rollrate) making corkscrew maneuvere in order to defeat Sparrow Kinetically, harder.
I guess that could be the same for MiG-29 too, it can reach higher top speed now (iirc), but it also turn worser than the first FM. Gaijin just simply leave that behind, and never bother to revisit it again. That’s why F-16 benefitted from this, Gaijin is too lazy to changes the FM (for the third time).
Unless however, there’s another major overhaul regarding the BR Bracket (or something like that) that forces Gaijin to revisit it again because it worth the time (according to them). In this case, Mirage 2000 FM was changed because of advent of Fox 3 Update.
Like, MiG-29 (just like F-16) just becoming like Phantom, they never bother to revisit it again, even with the coming of premium like MiG-29 Sniper. Unlike Flanker however, there’s still newer Flanker like Su-30SM, that’s why FM changes still relevant because updating it would benefit the newer aircraft. MiG-29 however, what, last time the latest MiG-29 variant was added (other than the Sniper ofc), was in the Sons of Attila update which is almost 2 years ago. My best guess for Gaijin bothered to revisit MiG-29 FM again (since it failed in the Sniper release), maybe when we receive another MiG-29 variant that have major differences in FM (like the extra fuel tank in the SMT).
Can the mig-35 equip extra cm dispensers like the 2005 mig-29m/m2?
Surprised mig 35 is only 115ish kg heavier than the 9.12 and is actually lighter than the 9.13.
Noice.
I think it just uses the downwards firing dispensers that the SMT uses in game.
The later MiG-29Ms and MiG-35 should have access to largely the same weapons right? The only major difference between them gameplay wise should be the AESA on the MiG-35?
mig-35 does not get an aesa, only pesa. Aesa is offered to export customers if they want it, but the ones in service currently only get pesa
Ah i see… thats kinda disappointing but not the end of the world i suppose.
If Russia tested the AESA we should be able to get it on the MiG-35.
is the ELT5 86 V2 capable of MAW?
ive read the 29M2 and mig-35 have a MAWS, but couldnt find specifications on it
I think you got that naming scheme a bit wrong (Happens to everyone since this shit is still confusing…)
MiG-29S would be 9.13S
MiG-29M would be 9.15
MiG-35 is 9.61
MiG-29M 9.41S and MiG-29Kr 9.41 also exist (29M 9.41 can confuse some people because some sources call both models of 9.41S “29M2” instead of "29M and “29M2” like it is)
Spoiler
MiG-29M/M2 9.41 and MiG-35 9.61 both use SOAR MAWS.

Wish I had a higher quality image of this pamphlet but sadly this is all I have, sorry since its most definitely not much help.
As far as I know, the 6-8 existing MiG-35’s use N010M (if any radar at all since they’re intended for the Swifts), like other RuAF and exported 9.41S based 29s, After BARS-29 died, I don’t think there’s been a offered PESA for MiG-29 since.
Sadly not, the 9.41’s and MiG-35’s downwards dispensers are 2 x 16 round dispensers… unlike UV-5-08 on 9.19R, which is 2 x 28 iirc.
Spoiler
so we´re gonna be stuck with 32 flares?
even if they’re large calibre, that is REALLY lackluster.
I wouldve thought they were compatible with the UV-5-08, since the MiG35 is all about modularity
I don’t believe they’re large caliber but I might be wrong.
And yeah it’d certainly be nice… One can pray they modernize the 9.19R fleet again in the future.
the UV26M on the MiG-35 is 60mm
If that isnt large calibre than idk what is
