You asked a question; I answered it and as usual you want to make this into an all-night thing. Dude requires a 5 page essay and documentaion. He is dead serious too.
I am not your teacher or your daddy. Someone else with the patience can lecture you.
Bug report? why? GJ is not paying me, I pay them, and I have a job.
I am pretty satisfied with the flight models. They are all hyper capable of pulling high win rates, kds and ace games. Remember chief, its a video game. Not IRL. not even close.
You said there was an issue to a person who’s stated their interest in the thread was to bug report and hold all nations to a similar standard. If the F-14’s top speed is going to be limited while carrying ordnance, so should anything Russian. Perhaps you had a source or would like to share something relevant to the discussion of the MiG-29? No, instead you go on to make yet another unfounded and ridiculous claim and when asked to back it up… deflect deflect deflect and immediately engage in inflammatory commentary. Totally dishonest discussion.
Seems to be an exception to the rule here, and you only have this opinion when your favorite stuff is overperforming. When it’s underperforming as they have in the past you’ve clearly held a contradictory opinion.
I do not care what others interest in. You can go collect butterflies for all I care. What issue do I have with what some guy on the internet does with his time?
I’m not sure if you realize how easily everyone else sees through your facade. If you have anything relevant to the MiG-29 or to back up the dozens and dozens of claims you’ve made in the last week I’d absolutely love to see it. If not… then please do us all a favor and stop posting obvious bait or attempting to harass others for correcting the behavior of over / underperforming equipment.
So the mig29 should not be enhanced? I was of the opinion it did. Oh wait, opinions are not allowed unless backed up with a magazine articles or some open source manuals that everyone has access to? Also everything must be explained in detail to you while holding your hand?
You mean things only relevant to you. You’re not the center of the universe. I do not not know where you got that idea.
@Giovanex05 Roll rate doesn’t seem to be outlined at very low speeds or higher AoA in the manual, but at the speeds and altitudes mentioned seems to be accurately performing… perhaps not increasing sufficiently with reduction in weight or decreasing too much at higher AoA. Would be easier to cypher through an English manual if they have the relevant information.
Israel will never admit the loss of the plane. They did not even recognize the loss of the F-16 from the anti-aircraft missile of the Syrian Air Defense. When were the photos of this F-16
Speaking personally, the reason I’m not playing Fulcrums is because they’re nothing like the real aircraft in any variant in-game. All perform deeply incorrectly, and all have bizarre choices in their loadouts. I don’t like flying the Fulcrum in a vacuum, nor do I like flying it purely because it’s wrapped in a shape that looks like a Fulcrum. I like flying most aircraft in part (a very significant part, mind you) because of the history of the aircraft, and the authenticity of its performance compared to the real article. If it’s inauthentic, then it’s a hypothetical plane Gaijin made up for balance reasons and then crammed into the skin of a real plane that Gaijin thinks people will flock to. What we have in War Thunder at the moment is not a Fulcrum, and it is an insult to call this utter bastardization of the MiG-29 a MiG-29. It’s my favorite fighter to have ever hit mass production, and it genuinely saddens me what Gaijin has done with it (and the Russian Federation, but that’s a different story. MiG deserved better :((. )
But it’s not a threat to say I’m not going to play it. It’s a statement of fact. If the MiG-29 is not a MiG-29, then there is nothing there for me.
This isn’t about domination or balancing. It’s about War Thunder’s responsibilities to its community regarding its promises that it is a genuine simulator. They could make the MiG-29 damned near unplayable next patch if they wanted by rendering it obsolete with new additions to other trees and weapons to existing vehicles, and, if they did this while in the process fixed the performance and loadout to its real life counterpart, I would go back to playing it in a heartbeat.
Also, ‘telling on other nations’? Really? That’s a damning indictment of the mentality you’re approaching this with, but it’s not what anyone you accuse is doing.
I agree everything you stated. Those are good reasons not to play it. It saddens me. I rather have a sound flight model than all the missiles under the sun. I rather have the high alpha, insane thrust to weight and acrobatic performance the Mig29 was known for over the R27ETs and even ERs.
But my point still stands.
There is no excuse why anyone should not be successful with the best short range, medium range & long range IR missiles in game. The best SARH that is almost hypersonic and IRST. Even an upgraded radar if they chose to play it.
Thats not even a political statement. That is an actual soviet doctrine of military deception “маскировка” (maskirovka, to mask/disguise)
It’s been greatly improved upon by the Russian Federation and that is why they are the best at information warfare and cyber warfare. No nation comes close to the Russians in this domain.
Any source that comes from them must be taken with a pinch of salt. At least that’s how any military analyst of every country sees it. All this open-source stuff we argue over is chaff. NATO has behind the door numbers and so do the Russians regarding how weak or strong the Mig29s truly are.
Oh, and ballistic missiles. Soviets/Federation were the best in ballistic design imo. I do not know what’s going on in the last decade but yeah. See I am a Soviet fanboy!
MiG-29 — longitudinal stability above critical angles of attack has been reduced, improved high speed pitch handling qualities with SAS-damper enabled.
MiG-29 9-12, 9-13 — basic weight has been increased by 335 kg and 285 kg respectively.
So for someone not interested in political things or US/USSR main issues and not having a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from MIT, is it true that the drag changes were reversed but the Mig29 got more weight?
No, no changes to drag. Stability at high AoA was fixed and recovery from spins is improved. If you want the specifics you can view a datamine or check the dev response in my bug report.
By the way, I want to mention one problem with the MiG-29. It is not a very important thing, but it would be nice if they fixed it. When choosing the missile type, it gives me a choice of 2x R-27, 2x R-60M(MK - marked in option list) and 2x R-60M instead of 2x R-27 and 4x R-60M.
