Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

Don’t modern fulcrums have structural reworks from the early ones? Like Su-35 and F-15EX for example

Yeah they have bigger wings and more pylons than og mig-29

which dosent change its 3d model in any major ways for WT

I know, but technically speaking if there have been extensive changes to the plane it counts as “new” for irl standards. For the game though, it’s just an upgrade

Did the mig also get the updated X-ray model like the flanker btw?

only the new russian 9-12 and the east german 9-12 for now

These models are so damn cool to look at, very detailed, not just some cylinders :)

Missing avionics so far, but I guess those could get modelled in the upcoming days.

The problem with the documents is that the aircraft’s weight isn’t listed, or it’s questionable (as far as I remember).

Plus, it’s possible certain charts are missing or contradictory.

I love when they detail the modules like that, it’s useless gameplay-wise but it’s SO satisfying to look at

The avionic modules can be damaged and disable some jets abilities, they are very much useful to improve the damage models.

Flankers now have less of a chance of pulling off flat spin kills for instance.

Of course, I mean the super detailed models stuff, if they were lazy they could just slap some cubes like before. I love that they bother to remodel stuff like that sometimes

Well they still do slap cylinders and cubes as jet parts to be fair, but it’s nice to see they are slowly working their way to have them more accurate visually and for game purposes.

We now have Su-25’s, A-10’s, F-18’s, Flankers and Fulcrums with such models :)

I’d like to see all 3 Eurocanards

I know some people would hate them, because they would see them as “nerfs”, but they are just more accurate depictions imo.
