I stopped replying in there because Ziggy was only baiting. I entertained it, my fault. I assisted with derailing that thread, but to me it isn’t so important as a thread dedicated specifically to a single aircraft’s history, design, performance where there are actual legitimate issues… where the topic isn’t focused on someone’s VERY flawed opinion on some aspect of the game.

if you dont play sim: nah
if you do play sim: you’re more stable at lower speeds higher angles of attack
If the turnrate report goes through and is a success the SMT should feel a bit nicer, basically feel 300kg lighter (tho its weight will be the same)

I hit the deck like 3 times last night because the jet would not roll or pull up with 15 min of fuel with 2-3 R73s and even no missiles…
I do think its a little too heavy for its thrust to weight. IMO.
I do hope turn rate get gets a little better. Its still not going to help that its a very slow plane. I barely stay above mach in most matches.
Gotta love how asking for a somewhat correct fm just starts a flame war now.

We are not simply asking for a correct fm… Soviet mains like to demand and threaten never to play the aircraft again until they fix it and love to out point how every other nation’s aircraft are UFOs when literally every jet performs like a “UFO” compared to IRL. I love how soviet mains point out how the F16 is dominating completely overlooking how Mirage 2k5F is performing.
Thats thing so amazing at keeping speed in turns and staying faster than all other the competition. I can fly circles around the SMT all day.
No one should be telling on other nations. Let them have their buffs and let’s focus solely on the issue at hand. That is the SMT and Mig29 FM.
GJ knows when a jet is overperforming and they see win rates. It’s part of their formula.
I have yet to see anyone talk about the SMT for 5 minutes without bringing up the F16 and how they cannot perform in it. It is an absolute skill issue and GJ does not respect that type of complaint.
Do you mind explaining how and sharing any relevant documentation? Aside the F-16, every flight model with public data on performance has pretty good flight modeling, especially at top tier right now. The MiG-29 issue is almost fixed, and the F-16 reports are currently being worked apparently.
Unlike the SMT and F-16, the Mirage 2000 series is performing as it likely should and there’s no real data to suggest otherwise. In fact, the only credible data (so far haven’t found a complete source) suggests it might be underperforming in climb rate. It’s weapons are super gimped as well, especially in regard to the Magic 2.
So when you come in here and claim that we’re saying every other nations’ aircraft are UFO’s when we’ve only said so about the F-16 it leads me to believe you’re just fanning for attention (likely from me again)… since you’re absent in threads until I’m working on something there with others.

No fighter in game is capable of Mach 1.25 at sea level with combat load. That is a UFO. Super easy. What else?

If so, bug report it. What is the issue?
Also, your original comment was to insinuate that the F-16 isn’t unique in being a UFO. Is there any other aircraft in-game that can do +90 degree AoA cartwheels and recover without any serious concern? -edit - (I should not the F-16, a statically unstable design known for departure issues at high AoA, is the absolute LAST aircraft that would ever be capable of such a feat).

I am pretty satisfied with the flight models. They are all hyper capable of pulling high win rates, kds and ace games. Remember chief, its a video game. Not IRL. not even close.

You said there was an issue to a person who’s stated their interest in the thread was to bug report and hold all nations to a similar standard. If the F-14’s top speed is going to be limited while carrying ordnance, so should anything Russian. Perhaps you had a source or would like to share something relevant to the discussion of the MiG-29? No, instead you go on to make yet another unfounded and ridiculous claim and when asked to back it up… deflect deflect deflect and immediately engage in inflammatory commentary. Seems to be an exception to the rule here, and you only have this opinion when your favorite stuff is overperforming. When it’s underperforming as they have in the past you’ve clearly held a contradictory opinion.

I’m not sure if you realize how easily everyone else sees through your facade. If you have anything relevant to the MiG-29 or to back up the dozens and dozens of claims you’ve made in the last week I’d absolutely love to see it. If not… then please do us all a favor and stop posting obvious bait or attempting to harass others for correcting the behavior of over / underperforming equipment.

So the mig29 should not be enhanced? I was of the opinion it did. Oh wait, opinions are not allowed unless backed up with a magazine articles or some open source manuals that everyone has access to? Also everything must be explained in detail to you while holding your hand?

@Giovanex05 Roll rate doesn’t seem to be outlined at very low speeds or higher AoA in the manual, but at the speeds and altitudes mentioned seems to be accurately performing… perhaps not increasing sufficiently with reduction in weight or decreasing too much at higher AoA. Would be easier to cypher through an English manual if they have the relevant information.
