Why? This is normal for other planes in the game as well.
All Top tier fighter of the 4th generation fighter all have around 28 degree limits in-game… This is the sweet spot for high thrust to weight 4th generation fighters IRL as well.
However, the Flanker and Fulcrum are the only ones that can achieve angles beyond lift. What most of you know as supermaneuvrability. This is critical for their design & prioritization in high off bore IR missiles & helmet sight, first shot capability in a dogfight.
They understood the Americans outproduced them in the radar race (Soviet Union was begining to dissolve, electronics industry took a hit, not because they lacked the technology) their tactics were ambush and to close the distance while the Americans prioritized distance, especially from the MiG-29.
The Fulcrum is nerfed all around, I do not see how much more we need discuss the matter, broski.
The Mirage 2000 doesn’t reach 29 AoA in mouse aim either. So this isn’t every top tier or top tier esque plane. Pretty much every plane will have some kind of mouse aim limitation.
That is not a top tier fighter & its not a high thrust to weight fighter that relies on vortex lift or “brute force aerodynamics”.
The MiG-29 isn’t a top tier fighter either then.
The Mirage 2000, though a capable platform is largely a 3rd generation design aerodynamically.
The MiG-29 is purely a 4th generation aerodynamic design.
It is the only aircraft in the world that can fly at angles of attack beyond lift without digital flight controls & thrust vectoring. The Flanker has digital flight controls.
The 5th generation F-22 did not get its ridiculous thrust to weigh ratio and immense pitch authority to combat the Mirage’s flight performance. That is for sure.
The M2K is definitely a 4th gen fighter
I did not say it wasn’t.
Holy moving of goalposts
typical gaijin hate over the migs.
maybe try to submit for the mig35 that is in the service. if gaijin refuse it again, its just hate.
N010m and 32 cms

oh yeah i forgot about these

Yeah it’s kinda mid the Russian Air Force one, maybe the Egyptian MiG-29M N010M + 64 CMs at least
Pods are most likely interchangeable. Considering we have Su-30SM2 in current configuration, giving MiG-29K 2x32 CMs won’t be the biggest crime
Here I am in the F-14 just wanting the control mode switch in general and the proper instantaneous turn and AoA :(
Should be 100% interchangeable in the MiG-29M and MiG-35. With the 29K it is most likely is but you never know with the slight airframe difference
They are in the same place, wiring should be exactly the same as well. At worst - it might require some updates to fire control system so it will show correct amount of CMs available.
millions must fly.
The design is basic, but so is the F-15 and F-22’s. That does not mean they are aerodynamically third generation. The Mirage 2000 was designed from the onset with relaxed static stability margins and to be used with a fly-by-wire flight control system. From the onset it was a fourth generation design aerodynamically.
In fact, the MiG-29–while designed for maneuverability–was actually inferior to the Mirage 2000 in other areas. It had a conventional flight control system and no carefree handling capabilities. It was considerably harder to fly well than the Mirage 2000. A novice pilot could hop in both and would quickly lose control of the Fulcrum and excel in the Mirage.
The F-22 was not made to combat the Mirage 2000 or the MiG-29, the choice to make it maneuverable was not part of the basic requirements for the program either. The better alternative was not chosen for political reasons, but the YF-23 focused instead on more important features like higher speeds in supersonic cruise, efficiency, and reduced IR signature.
Also, the MiG-29 thrust is more or less correct in-game, if not overperforming slightly in certain regimes. You were in my squadron iirc when we realized the devs were correct and rejected my report:

Bro, what is the thrust to weight of the MiG-29G.
I understand you want them to like you, but they never will. I need you to help fix the MiG-29.
Because you failed at something, given up & sat down, you now go with the narrative they shoved in your face that you were wrong the entire time?
Therefore, you now exist only to deter others from taking up where you left off? Why???
Because if no one else succeeds, that somehow will make you feel less of a failure & a quitter?
Fascinating mentality you carry.
