It got enough range for it specific job of taking off and burn fast and high. Tu-128 hover yes, a long range, better suit for patrol duty, but it lacks in speed and ceiling in comparison to MiG
All in all, I think we should drop discussion of MiG-25 and how useful it was in the thread for MiG-29. There should be a suggestion thread for MiG-25 tho

There is what are are 9.12s, 9.12 upgraded to s standards, for example Malaysia got them and put them into service as the 29n

Not really sure, but the USSR tech tree is one of the next candidates to get a rank 8 premium, so it would be kinda funny if we finally get a new MiG and it ends up being a 80$ premium.
