Like ID said, depends on the variant, but if we’re talking about the 9.15 then the upgrades make up for the lack of good rwr, against airplanes of its era (1990s) it’ll be more than enough.

No but it’s still a pretty big weight increase, with the same Thrust.
Still it has fly by wire.
I’ve seen people contest that the 29SMT’s thrust is wrong and should be higher
