the current thrust of the mig-29smt engines are correct? do they lose that amount of thrust when get installed?

the more you play the more you learn, i thought these new deltas would perform bad compared to the other 4th gen on 2c
I think sooner or later they will have to add the MiG-29S, maybe even the MiG-29A 9-12, and I would like that. The thing is, eventually the game will reach the end-game of missiles, so the SMT will probably receive the R-74M and the most advanced R-77 (R-77-1 or the ramjet version). When that happens, we’re going to need a “mid” MiG-29 with basic R-73 and R-77 missiles. Then I think the 9-13 should get the R-27ET and R-73 as well, and add the 9-12 with R-60Ms and basic R-27s.

IMO the 29S is the most likely aircraft to be added to the russian tree after this update, i have a feeling that the 29M could come very soon aswell but first probably the S.
Personally I don’t think we will get to this modern stuff (or at least I hope so). Imho the late 1990s and early 2000s gen4+ aircraft is the sweet spot, anything more modern and we will go from somewhat accurate flight models to pure fantasy.
Also imagining IR seekers will never be added, they would totally break the game unless there is a deep rework on airRB.
Also there’s something for every nation in that era and to me it would look pretty balanced overall:
Sweetspot would be something like:
US: F-14D, late F-15C, F-16C, F/A-18C (maybe F/A-18F) with aim120b/c3 and aim9m (maybe an aim9x with gimped IRCCM)
Germany: early Ef2000 with aim120b and AiM-9Li (maybe IRIS-T with gimped IRCCM).
USSR/Russia: Su-27SM, Su-30, MiG-29SMT, MiG-29K (hopefully also my beloved 9-15 although unlikely) with R-77, R-27ER, R-73 (maybe further R-73/74 version and R-27EA).
UK: early Ef2000 with aim120b and AiM-9M (maybe ASRAAM with gimped IRCCM).
Japan: Late F-15J, Mitsubishi F-2 with aim120b/c3 and aam-3 (maybe aam-5 with gimped IRCCM).
China: J-11 late, J-10, J-16 (maybe), Jf-17 (very unlikely), Pl-12, R-27ER, R-73, Pl-9. For Taiwanese line F-CK-1 with AiM9M and AiM120b
Italy: early Ef2000 with aim120b and AiM-9L (maybe aim9M, IRIS-T with gimped IRCCM)
France: early Rafale with Magic-2 and Mica (maybe Mica IR with gimped IRCCM).
Sweden: Jas39C with aim120b and Rb74M (maybe IRIS T and MICA since it could carry them)
Israel: F-15I with aim120b and python 4
I think we should make a MiG-29M 9-15 suggestion 1 week after patch drops if we want to see it in the game, as imho it’s an aircraft like the Mirage4000 that won’t be considered too much unless people want it

I wanted to know a bit more about the r74 tho, weeks ago i was searching about it and i couldn’t find any relevant info about the missile and how much it differs from the old r73

We should do a a research presenting the aircraft history, historical load out (explaining what weapons could carry and which of them would suit the game if introduced now), performance and why it would be cool if introduced in the game.
If I remember correctly R-74M has digital seeker with improved IRCCM, boresight angle and manoeuvrability

I’ll keep my answer simple and short because it can be. I’ve been playing this game for ten years and throughout those ten years I’ve witnessed many “X is going to break the game” arguments, and they ended up being just fine.
I still remember how you could go under flak for suggesting planes with afterburners like the Yak-19.
So in my opinion no, the way you put it, I don’t agree that there is a sweet tech spot or otherwise game-breaking. Only how much the community is willing to accept changes in the way they play top tier.

I read that on wikipedia but i couldn’t find documents or advanced info describing the missile. I think when the time comes it’ll be a bit complicated for them to correctly model it, not that it’ll be a big issue they could just model r74 using the same logic they applied to the stinger while comparing to the igla anyway
Try visiting this while it’s still up. Unfortunately for over a year I have not been able to edit it due to an error so there may be inaccuracies since more info was discovered over time.
Basically the R-74M is an R-73 with a modern Impuls-90 seeker with modern IRCCM (honestly forgot which type, I’m very out of touch as of recently), an increased gimbal of 45° to 75° and like a doubled off boresight capability to 120°. The max g limit is 60g.

They’ll get used to this one as well, it’s not an exception lol
It’s always the same cycle. New tech/balance ceiling tested → community is outraged and starts complaining → Gaijin releases said update → everyone gets used to it and even starts to enjoy it

I have no experience on selecting good/accurate sources and explaining technical terms but i can try to do something about it, i can research some info, send to you and then you can check if it’s relevant or not :)
that part would be easy to explain:
-the 9.15 could serve to fill the gap between the 9.13 and the SMT;
-Russia is lacking a light mig29 with the capability of carrying archers and many mig enthusiasts will be looking for it.
I’m confident that if we manage to get a considerable amount of ppl to become aware of the suggestion gaijin will approve the plane, after all the effort that it would take to add this vehicle wouldn’t be much considering that they’ll most likely just copy and paste the current mig 9.12 FM and do some adjustments, change some values and that’s it. I’ll share with all my buddies if we make the suggestion
