My main issue is definitely the drag.
The Radar and CMs are def a drawback as well, but when most other planes are also using a Fixed Plate AESA as well it’s not too bad.
plus you get Large Cal Cms so it counds for something.

Yeah, you will boost your K/G and K/D stats by like x10, it is pretty easy to get more than 20 kills in this mode
Drag wasn’t a major problem for me, I just got mega cucked by the cm kit which forced me to be significantly more careful in fights. Anything but a 1v1 is so much harder because you cannot afford to waste anything

That’s fair. I just felt unable to get into any good positions since I couldn’t get my plane past mach 1.2.

Luckily in NT I can multipath over water and spam Kh-31ADs at carriers from like 200km and get free SL/RP.
Sigh, it’s not supposed to be like that. Even in near rear aspect, I’ve seen it easily flared. It’s supposed to have IRCCM.

also its very susceptible to preflaring
I’m sure they nerfed it significantly at some point. It wasn’t like that before.
they nerfed everything a while back(year or years not sure).
basically they removed the flare rejection stat
so r60 r73 r3s aim9b aim9m aim9L are all equally flare hungry
in theory yes, in-game not really. fov plays a major part so r60 seam extremely flare hungry compared to aim9L (because they detect flares in a much larger area)
and the r73 has huge seeker before the fov gate irccm kicks in
