I decided to compare all the other planes at the matchmaker range of the mig35 to check where it stands in the mach coefficient of the fuselage, and it seems to be the worst in top tier:

How MAW works exactly? It only reacts on Missiles that are burning? Or it reacts to every single missile that it sees? And does it work in the clouds?
Yes
Well it depends. Some are optics based some are radar based. For the one on Euro fighter. It’s radar based, which means that it can still react to missiles in the cloud or out of their burning period. For our MiG-35, it’s optics, but still it can see missiles even they are not burning.
I haven’t used any radar-based MAWS. But optics-based one often dont react when the missile is not burning, and its relative speed is too slow.
So any good news on drag issue? I got notification that they closed our emergency thrust issue yesterday. I thought they were gonna fix it, but clearly I didn’t see anything in yesterday’s update.
I just got slammed by PL-12A while MAW was dead silent so i was curious on how exactly it works an in which cases i might not get a warning
He has a delusional belief that APU exhaust panel is somehow a CM dispencer and uses 9.15 structural layout as a proof to that

you can do that with all ARH ASMs in game.
Though its awkward because you need ground target to be moving to be picked up by ground radar and then you need it to stop so your missile doesn’t miss by targeting the previous spot.
And if you mean LOAL (and launching on IOG), we don’t really have that in game except for hawk and laser ordinance

Yeah, that’s true. When I was playing Nuclear Mode, most incoming missiles were already showing up on the RWR, yet the MAWS wasn’t detecting them at all.
That’s what I don’t understand. The MAWS has 360° coverage and a 30 km detection range, and it’s not like it simply can’t detect Fox-3s, because there have been several occasions where it has detected them correctly. So why does it detect some incoming missiles but completely miss others, even when the RWR is already identifying them?
What exactly determines whether the MAWS generates a warning? Or it’s probably just bugged
