Woo. 99+ messages just after a night. So now like, we can suspect MiG-35 does get larger wing drag co due to enlarged wing, but the fuselage drag co isn’t quite right, tho aerodynamic manual or any brochure is still needed to support this.
Anyway since this question got buried, and I’m interested in an answer as well. I’m pulling it to the top of the thread.

Idk where to ask this, but is squadron Mig 29 worrh grinding? I have never played with any mig 29 except for mig 29smt whose FM i did not like, so does it have similar fm?
the 9.15 has a really good FM for MiG-29s.
It’s nothing like the SMT FM wise. Since it’s lighter with better engines.
Personally, I wouldn’t reccomend the 29M to most people until they fix the countermeasures (It has 60 atm, should be 120). But it’s a straight upgrade from the SMT (more missiles, same RWR, Radar, better FM, better engines…)
If you can deal with 60cms at 13.7, I would reccomend it.

To further add to my brief research, the in game stat cards indicate that the MiG-29M/SMT and KR have the same optics (all having 18.4 - 98.2x zoom).
However, the MiG-35 has 13.4 - 46.0x as well as NVD (but this might just night vision you get in 3rd person and in cockpit view or something), even though it should have the same optic as the KR. But this might have to do with the fact it carries the T220 targeting pod because it’s zoom stats are the same as the Su-30SM2 (which also has the T220)
Could anyone with the MiG-35 and/or MiG-29KR check if the IRST optic has thermals in game?
They both do.
I think the M and SMT share IRST systems, but I think the KR uses a newer version.
At least the missing OLS-U target track report was accepted

Does anyone know if the mig-35 speed at 7000–9000 m is supposed to be on par with the F-18E? It genuinely hurts to try to fly at those altitudes.

It’s because the 9.41s are stupid draggy past mach. Even worse than the 29SMT.
This should not be the case, but Gaijin made it so.
