Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29/35 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

They modeled the Rafale’s targeting off of the camera module next to IRST, not due to the IRST module. That was the explanation prior. EFT is a new one for me though, didn’t behave that way when I tried it last. Guess Typhoon outliers strike again.

Do not cite screenshots of some text document at me:

2.34 (Alpha strike dev server)

  "inertialNavigation": true,
  "inertialNavigationDriftSpeed": 0.05,

first of all it is not 0 there second of all that is not how it went to live

it went to live with a drift speed of 1.25

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t there absolutely no evidence which shows that image is in any way official / real?

For all we know some random person could have typed it up and printed off themselves, photographed it, and uploaded to a forum 10 years ago to try and win an argument? Everyone just seems to be taking each others word that it is definitely some sort of leaked test results, with no evidence to actually back that up.

Okay i give up. It was KH-38MT which had the default in engine value of 0

Which was also wholly useless as there is almost no situation for IR/TV ordinance use it instead of locking ground

That is a valid point. Unfortunately, such things tend to gradually become accepted as canon. People see them repeated over and over; they slowly forget the circumstances of the original publication and eventually come to treat the information as fact, completely losing sight of where it actually came from.

I have encountered a few major instances where the vast majority of people were convinced of something—a “Mandela effect,” perhaps—yet were completely unable to explain why they believed it or why the fact was considered verified.

Questioning the truth is the key to critical assessment.

Peak Rafale gameplay Mach 1.7 at 10 km, going perfectly straight spamming MICA

well, he tried to do… something i guess. Unless Rafales can drift at mach 1.7

Are the missile changes realistic?

Ah damn it. The update happened at 6am in my time. Gotta wait a full 9 hour before I get home.

He asked talking about a video game…

Well, they are more realistic than not. Maybe AOA pull on some of the missiles is excessive, but drag reduction in favour of realism

The game supposedly wants to simulate realism to some extent. Games can aspire to do that. You guys have wanted MiG-29s to fly more realistically for a while.

I haven’t looked enough into the missile changes to know for myself.
