PD better in any case
except, perhaps, for launches at ranges of less than 5–6 km

Eh, I’m not sure. They look like they might be more useful but I’ll have to find something to lob them at. More flexibility at any rate.

nah, PD blows it out of the water in every scenario.

I suspect in the areas I find PD to be less than useful this one will prove more viable, but as I said, yet to lob it at anything.

Judging by stats PD is always faster, so i could only consider maneuverability as a redeeming quality

Suspicion proved kind of on the money. In the short range launches I tend to end up with, UShK was a bit nicer with a closure profile I prefer. But outside of that, it’s a bit worse than the 31. Still good enough tho

After spending a lot of time testing the MiG-35S over the last few days, the loss of performance at high altitude is pretty noticeable. It struggles quite a lot to push past around 1,400 km/h, and its acceleration drops off earlier than the KR’s as speed increases. The MiG-35 does have slightly less thrust than the KR, but the difference is small and really shouldn’t be enough to explain such a noticeable gap, especially considering the MiG-35 is lighter. It feels very good at low mid speeds, but its high altitude high speed performance seems weaker than it should be

how high?

At least from around 5 km or so. For example, just now after climbing at about 10°, I reached around 8.5 km altitude at 1,200 km/h, and from there I was gaining speed very, very slowly, reaching only around 1,370 km/h by the time I got to the middle of the map. This was with 30 minutes of fuel, 2x R-73s and 6x R-77-1s.

It reminds me a lot of the F/A-18 high altitude performance

Try it yourself and you’ll notice it. Below around 5 km the aircraft feels good and responsive, it accelerates well and you can reach around 1,400–1,500 km/h without much trouble. But once you start doing BVR at higher altitude, not even as high as 9 km, the performance drops off quite a lot. It feels completely different up there

Don’t compare it through Statshark, because on paper everything can look better than it actually feels. You need to test it in real RB conditions with a proper combat loadout, because the performance changes a lot once you start turning, climbing, gaining altitude, carrying fuel and missiles, etc. Statshark doesn’t really account for how all of that comes together in an actual match

MiG-35 has more drag due to MAW sensors. Shoul it be this bad? Probably not, i think all second gen fulcrums have way too much drag in general.

No currently there is problem in both MiG-29K and MiG-35. Their flight controller are not working correctly. Community Bug Reporting System

Even MiG-29K fails to pull more than 8G when it comes higher than a certain altitude
