Well, entire chinese top tier can be described as “what if”. Reason might be different, but classification is pretty much the same. For MiG-35 this “what if” isn’t as outrageous because MiG-35 exists, radar exists, and one of 2 airframes that were showed housing that radar is officially a MiG-35 technology demonstrator airframe.
And this was my point. In game is essentially “what if MiG-35 had its AESA radar instead of its mech radar that it uses in service” Racimazzedine then went on a whole tangent about how I wanted to revert the radar:

I don’t. I personally would’ve prefered a non-AESA one at 14.0 (think I mentioned this a while back), but if this is what the current iteration is, then I simply will play the KR instead.
Like it would’ve been cool for it to be the authentic service variant, but at the end of the day, I’m a player, not a purist. If the plane isn’t good, I play a different plane.
Except MiG-35 is gonna be good. The question is, your original statement about not playing it and playing KR. KR also isn’t 100% authentic to the real life, and, unless you are playing this game by using only real life accurate loadouts and flying by real life accurate rules (IRL pilots can’t sustain 14G maneuvers, nor can the airframes without some serious structural damage) you are a hypocrite.

Authenticity to me was never the priority. It’s a cool factor, not a requirement. I’ve long accepted the fact that War Thunder is an Arcade game larping as Realistic (a fact other people should come to realization too).
It depends? I know that the fm is very good, being on par with Euros or whatever, but it’s a light fighter with (potentially after release) only 6 arhs and 64cms at 14.3, so the meta still swings towards the Su-30SM as the pick of choice.

Fair point, it seems you and racci just overreacted because of the state of the game at this point. MiG wasn’t in a good spot for like several years, so people can get into wrong assumptions if someone starts bringing up “MiG shouldn’t have this”

Funnily enough, that was my point in the J-16 thread. It wasn’t that “MiG shouldn’t have [thing]” more like "well technically AESA MiG-35 is kinda a “what if” since that radar isn’t in official service. Original context i think was someone saying “Soviets have no what ifs”
