It would be pretty much impossible to fly without UI, pilot only has HUD, Radar and RWR displays are in navigators cockpit

A pod to use R-40TDs? If this is about MiG-31BM, then it flat out lost the capacity to use them or R-60Ms iirc.
Also some MiG-31BMs have L-150
and flares n chaff too
