i HOPE the current implementation in the dev server is not complete since is just a copy of the tt one for weaponry but the fact that it’s at the same br is kinda scaring me, hope it gets the correct loadouts and these guided bombs too (with the correct bump in br too)

ez +1 from me

Only planned armament? I don’t care! There are other vehicles like this with their intended equipments. So why this needs to be different?

Not mine but here you go

Mind you that the ELTA radar was also under studies per pilot interview

Absolutely love the cockpit model.

Anyway looking over its loadout, i wouldnt shy from adding Magic IIs or even 73As and raising it to 13.0 to make it 29G analogue.

Italy top tier premiums were up until now lacking (hello TAF) so i dont see reason for the Sniper being limited to R-60Ms and BR of 12.7.

Additional proof for western armaments can also be seen on the sign (most likely is armaments, as everything else already got integrated)

Also;

EADS, Aerostar of Romania and Elbit of Israel have also launched an upgrade, the MiG-29 Sniper, which includes modernisation and maintenance of the airframe and engines, and upgrades of the avionics with a new Elbit digital mission computer and weapon systems, and the installation of a glass cockpit.

From https://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/mig29/

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was planned to be given the same weapons as the LanceR, as both were presented at the same timeframe

Regardless, it would make it much, much more unique

It was planned, yes. Also, DASH was supposed to be used too, but idk if that was already given too (do note that LanceR has DASH)

MiG-29 with Magic II and Python 3 would be Kino.

Python 3 or R-73 would make this plane so much more interesting and an actual worthwhile purchase.

Currently it is not worth the money since it’s a far worse grinder than the F-104S TAF for the average player and the Python or R-73 with the improved CAS capabilities would make it actually worth its price

Upgraded radar, RWR with 2x 27ERs doesnt make over better A2A performance over TAF?

Since we don’t need 4 nearly identical mig-29s at 12.7, why not move it to 13.0 and give it IRCCM like the Mig-29G.

You dont want them, 11.7? mig 29 is something id love to play in the russian TT. R73 on that platform make it instantly 12.7/13.0 with americans shilling against anything but 13.0.

The last thing you want to be at those brs is a plane with only 2 bvr missiles.

Oh nvm its 11.7 in grb im retarded, 12.7 is rough never liked the mig29 there. 13.0 with r73 might be better but the MM there is significantly worse. Was thinking this was a mig29 without E variant r27.

That’s what I’m hoping for the most. Romanian MiG-29A were shown with R-73 on display. This upgrade is from the late 90’s (specifically the end, 1999) and was shown more during 2000, so it without a doubt had them on the original aircraft it was converted from.

Additionally, Elbit did showcase the cockpit of the Sniper. Not in 2000, but in 2005, so around 5 years (or 4, cant remember) after it was cancelled for Romania

if gaijin dont add r73 to a 80 USD how about they should just shut down their marketing department

I have emailed the people that did the upgrades, lets see what they say about it even being able to use soviet stuff

It appears the R-73 cooling switch is modelled. If I had to guess, it might be planned and the current weaponry it has is just placeholder (as this update had a lot of placeholders)

I really hope it gets them

inb4 not added because no proof of integration despite cockpit

So funny thing is, apparently we aren’t getting them because they target a BR of 12.7
