Currently on the dev-server the MICA EM recently received some changes and these were accurate historical changes. While it was a couple steps forward in the right direction, it took one step back in the wrong direction as well.
The dev-server MICA EM now has a worse time-to-target than the live-server when looking at a launch of 30km range and 10km altitude.
Now this would not be a problem if this aspect was historical, but it is not. The reason being that the MICA-EM is now worse at medium ranges is due to lack of top-speed.
Being able to turn on a dime is nice but not useful if its capped to ~30km while SU30SM2s can easily snipe it out 40km away in the stratosphere firing while in a notch
The mica-em was reproduced the way Gaijin would have and did with SLM in-mind, with the missile going straight up into thinner air, you can watch the test footage attached.
Btw, the SLM does and can do Mach 3 for a target that’s inside of 40km. Here’s one where it does Mach 3 at 28km target:
I hope to make the repair to lay the groundwork for the land-based MICA air defense system. I’m really looking forward to the future land-based MICA-IR system.
Funny enough there’s already plenty of info on MICA NG’s dimensions and performance, only thing though is that the MICA VL system hasn’t test-fired the MICA NGs yet, only has been fired on an aircraft.
Yeah. top tier is gunna be unplayable at the moment with how OP the Rafale is gunna become again. They could have probably left MICA EM as it was, without any buffs and the buffs the AMRAAM getting would just barely put it onto parity
